What the towed you home?
Last time I had a blow out I asked them (aa) to send me a mobile tyre fitter
£55 and an hour later was back on road
Did you not contemplate doing that
I never carry a spare I do 500 odd miles a week LOL
To get to the sensor you need to remove the standard airbox, it is located underneath the thermostat housing( follow the thin black pipe at the very top of coolant bottle all the way down and that's it)
Basicly it's directly underneath that, where the gear box is bolted to engine, looks sort of...
Same my ph1 aerial let in a fair bit of water
Only found out when pulled my sun visor down and it was wet
A small bit of silicon seal around the bottom fixed it
If well maintained it should last for years and years
As long as you are prepared to spend a little replacing things, when the times comes
Fair few on here that are over 120/130 k and still going strong
