For anyone who has an intermittent flat spot around 5000 to 6000 revs, looks like mines has gone after the temp sensor electrical connector was cleaned.
For those in the know out there .......could an erratic temp signal to the ecu have caused the flat spot?
Dealer fixed it for now.
"water contamination on the electrical connector"
He said i was to keep out of the puddles, pretty f*'kin imposible if you live in Scotland.
Easy to fix, but harder to get the ECU light out when my warranty runs out in 6 months.
Now just need to find somthing to...
Going back to the dealer again!!!!:dapprove:
My Coolant temp indicator has been very erratic, last night droped to zero for a long time, now engine management light is on.
As i understand there is one sensor with a few outputs, one for guage others for ecu.
anyone else had similar...
CAF in the lower grill LOL?
He had the bonnet up on his flooded 172 .i was lookin at his air box saying how it was different from my 182. Then he showed me where his air intake started ........the penny dropped, he looked like he was going to cry.
good luck ..........took them 5 goes at it when my car was new.
Steering wheel has a master spline so they need to adjust both sides (at tracking rods).
went though 3 steering racks on a golf gti mkI in the same way. Best make sure nothing is bent.
First make sure you can get a replacement bolt.
Get you hands on an "easy out",
have a look at this found a link from a Honda goldwing site
http://www.gwocni.co.uk/bolts.htm
but if the easyout snaps your realy in the sh*t.
I know there is a sensor on the cat , was just showing how dealers think they can tell you any amout of bullsh*t.
Question still stands . Are there two diferent mod states of original cat out there for the 182?
My 2005 182 Cup's cat cracked, just next to the join with the rest of the system. Sounded like a little blow from the join. Nice dealer........

DREGHORN
.....replaced it under warranty as "there was no sign of impact damage"
But they managed to kill the sensor...
