Well time for a quick update.....
As mentioned before I was going to pick up RB shell a yesterday, it was a just a shell so I had to draw up a list of what bits I would need to take to make it back into a rolling shell so I could stick on a car trailer. Here I have to make a special thank you...
Well I thought I better update my thread since I haven't really posted since February.
Unfortunately the sunflower hasn't progressed much since February as it has spent most of its time under a cover outside. The reason for this is we have been doing some garage remodelling...
I can give you the airbag diagrams for the ph1 if that will help? PM me your email address. I managed to remove the airbag bits and pieces with just the haynes manual info though with just taking my time
TBH mate I've been thinking of building my own loom and going standalone. However it means going from a minimal budget to spending big ££££s. I am more than capable of making my own loom, but there is the cost of the new ECU, Dash2, mapping etc!!
But for sure it has to have a push button ;)
Hi @TarkMalbot I see Mark @NorthloopCup has pointed you in my direction :) I have a lot of wiring diagrams for the ph1, unfortunately I don't really have anything for the ph2. Have you tried eBay? I managed to get a genuine wiring diagrams book for the ph1 recently
Where did you try as I was talking to Adam about them the other day and he said they were available along with rear quarters etc, that was after he told me that shells weren't available anymore like previously thought!!!
Well quick update for tonight, had a couple of hours on it
Again I had issues with age related problems this evening, I was unable to get the driveshaft nuts off even with my big bar so had to remove them with the hub to get them out of the way. So that ate up a lot of time messing about...
Well I've done about an hour tonight, nothing exciting really
Changed the little exhaust mount about half way up the exhaust for one of the new design ones.
Did a little bit of tidying as my garage is a bit of a tip, not helped by Captain Chaos ;)
Then I moved on to doing a bit more to help...
Well I had a quick hour tonight after getting my parts out.
Thought I'd do a couple of easy wins, one to get the parts out of the box and two its not an issue to have the on the car.
So I set about removing the rear dampers to change them for my new cup ones
Oh yeah and I've fitted the...
Thought I'd have a bit of a look through my parts box, as after looking at @Stu. Sunflower build I wondered whether there was a few bits I still needed for my engine refresh
Now I'm going to get myself a meg crankshaft sprocket, but I think I need the camshaft seals as I can't seem to find...
Well Captain Chaos AKA @Feirny came round this evening for a play
We started by removing the bumper, upper grill and headlights. Those keen eyed will notice my temporary lash up of my new Odyssey battery more on that later
Proof that Captain Chaos is working with me, here he's finishing...
Hi @Ph1 Tom
Thanks for the advice, when I checked with Adam @Renault Wolverhampton there was a choice of two, Bosch and another? See if I can get a cup Rev and double check it
Well here is tonights update, not been bothered to do anything for a few days due to work. Had big plans as Captain Chaos AKA @Feirny was coming over but he's got man flu and its wiped him out.
So I set about jacking up the rear to remove the wheel so I could start draining the brake lines...
Hi Peeps,
I am in the process of stripping out redundant loom out of my ph1 172 track car http://www.cliosport.net/threads/naths-sunflower-track-car-build.767724/#post-10653543 The whole process would be made a lot easier with the correct wiring diagrams for my car, I have copy of the Renault...
Did a little bit today, probably about half and hour due to the fact of a family pet bereavement and having to dig a grave :(
Anyway, thought I'd have a look under my alloy bonnet today. Took the washer bottle out with a view to looking at the A/C wiring
Well go the washer bottle removed...
