Cable, sky or terrestrial, Digital 'TV' is pretty much a step back in picture quality. Its not the image quality in general, its moving or high detail objects are killed by the the bit rate.
Everyone would expect digital to mean higher quality, it just means more channles in the same bandwidth...
I have seen it on several Mk1 172's, mine suffered from it and Renault were kind enough to give me a brand new bumper after 2.5 years. The new one, now 4 years older still looks perfect.
At the time other people with the problem commented on heat as the casue but I dont think it was.
The...
'IS' is very good at what it does, steady the camera, but depending on what your shooting it can be only half the equation. If anything in the shot is moving it will still suffer at slow shutter speeds.
A bigger aperture to let more light is another factor, how does that compare between the two...
As far as I know and certainly it applied to me (very similar, my car was hit while I was not in it, insurance job, all costs including excess recovered), you still had an accident. e.g. If you go throgh a website there is an entry for 'no fault, all costs recovered' and you still get penalised...

Sorry, my comment did sound a bit troll like, it is a great video and a lot of people wont have seen it.
Whatever the trim, the Clio puts on a great show.
This video first did the rounds in 2004 (well thats when I saved it onto my HD).
Comments at the time referred to the fact the clio was modified and on slicks :D
Hi Rob, I can remember R30BC in its silver form :) .
I was traveling a lot the last few years. Sold the Clio to a very good friend 6 months ago, he is a member on here. I still have a passion for Clio's though, I hope I can tag along to a meet with him some time soon.
Just from personal experience, there was an issue with the alarm fitted to UK Mk1 172's. If you open a door too soon after unlocking with the plip, the alarm is still active and gets serioulsy screwed up, goes off randomly after that until reset. Do you remember this happening ? I had this, the...
I owned one for five years from brand new, I dont want to sound like a know it all but they were flame red. Also here is the build sheet for my car that follows it arround the factory in Dieppe and the colour says 'Rouge De Feu', which is French for flame red. Better proof than a paint code ...
I was talking with a friend about this the other day, he has had his car for 10 years and it has never been gassed, air con still works a treat. Its a closed system, the gas should have nowhere to go. To my mind if it goes fast, chances are it will go fast again, just my thoughts. Hope you can...
No clunk when engaging AC will probably indicate no gas, but from my experiance if it has no gas so soon its lost it for a reason, a gas with dye will show this up, the leaking component may be covered under warranty as mine was. Gas + dye, fault fixed and re gassed all under Renault warranty at...
My car for 5 years, sold it 6 months ago, I never saw another one on the road.
Sold to a good friend so I still get to see it, he even let me have a go in it recently :), I loved that car.
Sorry about my suggestion with no follow up !
