Not owned one, but have driven a few St's, on a whole the normal 150 will get severely taken appart by a cliosport. 150brake from a 2L is pretty pony IMO, not saying they aren't a good car... but they aren't quick.
Change the tyre, driving around with tyre weld is a short term fix at the road side. Go from there.... How long where you driving it flat? Could be a wheel bearing.... Either way you're going to need to change the tyre, so start there.
In my opinion you only need slicks if you are racing & or a driver with an ability where you can explore the limits of the tyre. Being a slick it's only purpose is TRACK. Having extra grip can cause problems as above... For instance it'll be harder on your whole...
Had this problem on my sisters Bf's cup, the winter had got in to the mechanism which is Cr*p while we are talking about it. It took us a good half hour to get the bonnet open. Basically the guillotine type slider that comes across weathers pretty badly and seizes up thus not releasing the male...
I'm 20 with 1 years NCB & my insurance "WILL" be around the 12-1300 mark when I get my cup Having spoken to Admiral last week. (Multi car policy) With lot's of cars on it!
My plan is, to find a minter & Improve not devalue, Go down the OEM ish route, For instance I love the Recaro sportsters, They're deffo on my wish list. But the car will just be improved rather than changed if you catch my drift. I'm a big fan of chassis & brake improvements.
I got pulled a few weeks back because & I quote "I sounded like I was going fast" Educated officer you see.. Unless they have proof, I.E Clocked speed etc all they can do is lecture you.
Very nice Cup mate! As above I'm very fussy, but then I used to run a body shop... worked my way up from being the Quality Controller LOL. Explains a lot. Thanks for all the great feedback I will keep my eyes pealed, they're lovely motors.
Thanks for all the great feedback.
Well I'm getting rid of the C2 in the next few months & can't wait to get a cup to be honest, the whole thing started because my sisters other half has one & it's been teasing me for years!
Got some pretty good but subtle idea's but want it to all be adding...
As a few of you may or may not know, I'll soon be in the market for a cup. It looks increasingly hard to find an example that matches my high standards (without sounding like a tit). I'm aware they're getting on a bit now so this probably is the case, but how hard do you think it's going to be...
Easy way of checking for head gask problems is to check the Rad cap, if there is a porridge type "sh*te"" <<< TECHNICAL WORD on the cap then you could have a problem.
Having said that, what the others have said is also true.
A lot of Manufacturers have storage units like this! Great to preserve history, but almost sad that the cars never see light of day in some instance. Mclaren have an incredible facility down the road from their Workshops, It has every F1 car that they have ever built in there including some very...
Cheers guy's, Seems like my biggest decision will be to strip or not to strip then! Back seats in my current car barely ever get used & when they do they just get in the way :slap:
