You know the 2 roof rails on a clio, I took them off for the first time the other day as I had a load of polish splatter down the gulleys on them, whent hey were off there was loads of s**t , powder and dust etc under it. does anyone know if its safe just to pressure wash it clean - it wont leak...
Even on a brand new tyres I was only getting 2 weeks at the most with Meguiars endurance. It smells so so nice though, probably the nicest product smell ever. I always use it as it looks great.
few things to do that will help eliminate it.
file an edge to the pad.
take off caliper and clean everything including the back of the pad.
Install this kit
I have 406 4 pot brembos with DS2500 pads which are a renound for squeeling but mine are silent after the above.
Royal retrims are great - the steering wheels themselves are perfect, their customer service is a little slow and can be rubbish. Had them do my wheel in Alcantara and took 2 weeks. They are based near me in Aylesbury and I actually went to his house to deliver and pick up my wheel. He does the...
I have only used Hexlogic , Meguiars, menzerna and 3m pads so dont have experience of all the different types.

Took me 2 hours today but they do look good now though. Like you , they arent perfect which is a little annoying as you dont see the imperfections till the final polishing stage and by then there is no f**king way im starting the wet sanding again.
Went from 600 (only on a few chips) ->1200 ->...
Jacked the car up and tried with the wheel on first and then with the wheel off. I didnt have any movement at all, I grabbed the disc with both hands and moved it up and down while my neighbour watched the top mount. Tried to do a video but the camera didnt focus. Did get a few pics though.

Good call, but might be a lot of work. Was hoping to find some strong chemical spray that I can spray, brush a little then rinse off.
What do you reckon to this?
What can I use to get the underside looking better. I really want to spruce up the metal like the sump and that sort of stuff. there seems to be lots of white powdery stuff on it. I was thinking brillo pads as I have tried AG machine cleaner in the past and although its good for shifting grease...
