Id hazard a guess that its because you are running the standard rack and your working against the fluid in the rack.
Mine feels pretty instant on all settings, Only thing I have noticed is when I turn the assistance down it takes a while to change.
Nope, The ECU doesnt get any speed information from the vehicle.. The ebay box replicates that information based on the position of the adjuster. You set the adjustment you want and thats it.
Being able to adjust it is very handy.
You need the box off ebay just to get it working, You get an adjuster with it so might aswell use it.. and anyway, on full adjustment at high speeds it feels too light, Mines set around 60% most of the time. If you jut switch it on you'll be 100% all the time.

Not long left!
Not sure of quality but must be better than standard.
Poly screen just seems a bad idea all over.. Can imagine it'd be hazy as f**k in no time with wipers being on. Then you'd get glare from the sun on the hazy bit. Nah.
As said, trace the wires back one at a time and chop them out.. Think people normally f**k thing up using a multimeter and continuity to trim the looms, then they end up chopping out spliced earths / lives etc
But that'd be a complete pain in the arse, Having to constantly refuel during a track day. And chances are the fuel tank you fit would be higher up and further back than the original making your 5kg's saved a bit pointless.. Then you'd probably want a bulkhead between you and the tank and that...
No what I mean is, Is it possible the rack you tried that had 3.25 just had the plastic stops missing? I.E if it had both track rods replaced in the past and the stops were left off.
Cant think of any logical reason why they'd have two identical racks (DCi and 1.2) with different steering...
If you take a Dci rack with 2.7 turns, remove both track rods and remove the plastic stop between the rack and the track rod then you have a rack with 3.25 turns, So steering ratio would be the same you'd just have more lock. Id imagine the spacer is there to limit the amount of lock to stop...
