Im wanting to get a steering wheel retrimmed. I have got a spare 172 mk2 steering wheel that doesnt have the cruise buttons on the wheel. I was hoping to get this wheel retrimmed and then take the cruise buttons off my 182 wheel and fit to the new trimmed wheel. Is this possible?
Im in a bit of...
Thats a good point. I havent bought any of the light bulb hues for this reason, using a phone to turn on a bedroom light would be crazy. I only have the tabletop lamps like the Iris and Bloom.
I would recommend buying an living colours Iris which comes with a remote. If you like it buy some...
display unit needs power, there is no battery. you have to run a cable from the sender unit to the display that will carry the power. If the next display is going to be replacing your existing thermostat you can use the wires that go to that to save you running new cables.
The ktec exhaust sounds awesome, really miss my old one. Used to blast through tunnels and the noise was amazing.
Good job on the spoiler , looks really well painted.
I take there is no way of deactivating it - my neighbours renault megane espace things alarm keeps going off all through the night and they have started disconnecting the battery at night now. Would be good for them if there was a sequence of buttons to push to switch it off permanently.
There is 2 parts to it, one is the device that connects to your boiler to tell it when to turn on and off - this unit connects wirelessly to the funky display unit.
The way they connect it is by using your old thermostats wires to act as the power cables that goes to the display unit from the...
It is pretty amazing what you can get it to do with a hue bridge and the app. It integrates with IFTTT (if this then that) which allows you to set up infinite stuff like:
blink once when an email comes in
blink red 10 times when the wife is coming home from work
blink when the ISS space ship is...
start off with one living colours light - the Iris is a good starter. You dont really need the bridge, the included remote is really good. They are addictive and you will probably end up buying more later.
No disco was only after I got the hue bridge, before that it was just the remote with colour wheel and a few presets.
If im honest I do miss the remote, it works so well. Now I have to use my phone to turn them on and off which is a bit of a pain . you can buy a special remote called a 'tap'...
Got 6 x Iris
2 x blooms
2 x Auras
They can be had cheaper but its still expensive. Well worth it though wouldnt hesitate buying them again.
Going to do a video now of them as it shows them better.
That house is straight up awesome Danny, oh to be rich !
Stuff is pretty crammed in and I did worry about the cooling but the temperature is 26'c in the amp - the temp probe for the fans is in the amps vents.
The air flow in the cabinet comes in through the bottom back and flows towards the...
Yeah, Gen 2 works with Hue too. Didnt know the older ones were brighter. Also the Gen 2 Iris's look really cool.
If you do get a hue bridge then it can be a pain to link the lights to it. ping me if you need help.
Just like me.... I had the remote that I linked to all of them, then bought the Hue bridge. The Hue bridge means you cant use the remote anymore. You use a phone or tablet to control them. The hue bridge connects via ethernet to your router and the bridge communicates with the lights by RF...
Bought a livingcolours Iris a couples of years ago and have been slowly adding and building up a collection of these lights. Added a Hue bridge a few weeks ago and have them all linked together. They are awesome lights and make for such a cozy living room. There is some pretty cool features like...
Heres my telly and av stuff. Wall mounted samsung 8000 telly with all cables going inside the wall.
All the cables go to this oak cabinet that house the AV stuff. Ive got a similar fan controller to @Ben.S that only switches on 2 silent fans when a threshold is reached.
The bottom shelf is...
