How to block the speedo sensor on a JC5

Ok i stand corrected, mine 100% has a GB sensor, one i can see it and i had ABS problems and the clip told me 3/4 were duff (was major wiring issue), but no issues with speedo even tho the ABS thought i was skidding constantly under braking. I have no idea why it has both, but im glad it does lol

How to block the speedo sensor on a JC5

Have you checked it doesnt have one first? its a myth if you ask me (my 172 none cup 100% has one and has abs), only place you can read speed from consistantly is the GB.

Is it ok to powder coat a brake caliper?

i wouldnt, you'll have to strip it down very very well and mask all the threads and unless you find someone who will put the Powder coat on very very well its likely to be silly thick and clog up the caliper, care will have to be taken as you only want it on the front face really i guess (the...

    Wheels have gone matt, lacquer?

Powder coating isnt as UV resistant, black soon becomes grey and they loose there shine. Some wheel refurb places laquer the powercoat afterwards to get a better shine, but this defeats the purpose of a durable finish lol..........Its the devils coating........

How can i clear this up?

Start with 1000 grit, you'll need a matt lacquer aka dull coat.
  21. Simon@SprayShack

How can i clear this up?

  24. Simon@SprayShack

    What primer to use...

I cant quote in threads, but we are slightly more expensive but we've done a few, prep is everything with them due to the oil residue and constant engine heat and cold. (We also spray on decals etc for extra). The price will no doubt go up when he see's it....theres alot of prep in doing...
  25. Simon@SprayShack

    What primer to use...

Plastic primer x2 coats, sand inbetween. Flame red or 713 (i think) requires a ground coat x 2 coats, then atleast 2 coats of base coat to get the right colour. Will cost far more doing it yourself, than having it done professionally and look no where near as good or the right colour.
