I need to replace the middle section on my standard exhaust. I have the part ready to go, a new gasket, exhaust paste and rubber hanger.
Is there anything to look out for before i start? Anything to make my life easier?
I have read to jack the car up and drop the...
Are you trying with the front of the car jacked up? Done mine with the car on the floor and just a spanner with a quick sharp turn following the guide on here. No need for the Allen key. I did spray the nut a week before and again the day before i removed it.
A pheasant took out the aero bumper on the Mrs mini a few years back. Don't help we live next to a breading farm, they are every where. I remember being in a mates xr2 once and hitting a badger at 60mph, felt like the car was going to roll and don't think i will ever forget the smell!

Anyone else had this? Any solutions apart from sending the Mrs out with a hair dryer before a refuel?
I spent 3 weeks deciding if i should buy it or not. 3 weeks wasted! Get one, map the car, flog it and enjoy. For the cost of a tank of fuel its a no brainer on a standard car.
Im no mechanic but i managed it after looking at a few threads on here. Just jacked the car up on the passenger side on a cold morning. Unplugged the electrical connector connector and plugged in the new switch to ensure the switch was at fault. Unscrewed the old switch on the gear box, screwed...
