I was under the impression the car will fail the MOT if its manufactured to have a 3rd brake light and now doesnt / isnt working. So if it fails its MOT i suppose technically that makes it illegal?

Is it different to the noise you get if you come off the accelerator and let the car continue moving at slow speeds? Personally i wouldnt worry about it. If something breaks or stops working then take it in and get it fixed under warranty otherwise just enjoy it instead of worrying :)

Thats right but its the seat only, with a flat base. To get them to the spec of the Renault OEM ones you would need to include the side airbags and runners when you add those into the equation you understand how much Renault have discounted the £900 for a pair option by.
