He's still driving it on snapped springs? I stopped driving the clio as soon as I realised lol
But yeah, I'd have thought they'd have noticed the cracks in the springs. One had a crack up a length of it!
@Hawk182 helped me change my springs over at his work today. Thank god he did that! I wouldn't have wanted to do this on the drive!
The only problem was a tie rod end being rounded which needed cutting and replacing.
Two front springs came off in six pieces! ... Whoops
One bad pic for now...
That looks like they've not buffed out their own marring after cutting out the original defect.
It should've been done with the cutting/polishing compound they used and wouldn't have require a finishing polish afterwards if it was done right.
Laymans; they worked the polish enough to remove...
Auto glym are good entry products/good for people who aren't full anorak about cleaning.
Some of their products are decent, some not so much. For every ag product, there are ten better ones on the market.
You're right about quick detailers, some contain mild protection though, although they...
I have no experience with either but meguiars because auto glym stuff isn't usually that good.
And quick wax? As in a spray? If so, no.
I use spray waxes like quick detailers and to aid in applying paste waxes.
If you want something like that for ease of use, get a spray sealant.
I'm not here to give any excuses on his behalf but;
He works nights, and is generally a pain to get hold of. But he's a genuinely nice guy who isn't here to rip anyone off.
I'm seeing him tomorrow and I'll get him to get in touch with you as soon as I see him :)
You don't want to keep the speed lines?!
Wtf?!
Get them done in anthracite.
Maybe with the black inserts done to match. Like this

Then/Or swap them for my wheels  lol
A cleanable panel filter is a worthwhile upgrade and an exhaust won't hurt, although cheaper systems accentuate the flat spot at low revs (your missus might not appreciate this), so a map may be worthwhile to remove the flatspot and improve power delivery, but you know it won't give any power...
i wouldn't, isn't your car the lovely clean OEM example with the carbon details?
I'd do the brakes silver or black. It's too clean to kid up with lairy colours.
Imo ofc
Hi and welcome
I've ran out of ford puns.
Don't bother with trying to extract power from these.
Throw money at brakes and tyres, suspension if you really must and an exhaust (not a cheapo one) if you want some noise.
But n/a power chasing is a fools game.
Remember to use a trim dressing afterwards. Ipa will just clean the oils off the trim, it won't restore colour
But yes, that ebay number will do, then get something like auto finesse revive to bring the colour back out of them
Wash > dry > alcohol > trim dressing
If you want tweaks, an iPhone isn't for you. That's the best thing about them, they're simple, they work, and they don't let you dick about with the operating system.
Do them the brightest silver you can
Then dress all the plastics
Only to clean old oils off the trim.
You need to follow up with a trim dressing like auto finesse revive
I was close @Stu- lol.
They look brilliant in person, but for that price @mjcropper, you may as well look for recaros.
Megane 250 ones are a straight swap into 197s too :o
Selling it still then? :p
@Stu- has some corbeau rrs seats which look pretty cool and are cheaper than recaros.
I can't imagine fitting is hard, couple of bolts under the car and then four inside to undo the runners?
It'll be getting the subframes which will be the awkward part
£1000-1200
