Have to agree with Gally here Dave, either go black grills with depos or chrome bits with standard indicator lenses. I much prefer the standard brighter parts to gangster tinted shite, I wont sugar coat it for you! Lol
Think ill just pop back into here to say that even though I'm not that fussed about winter tyres, I may well be purchasing a pair for the front of my daily driver.
The reason for this is I did a 320 mile trip to collect a car for a mate the other evening. On the way back (160miles) I wanted to...
Exactly what I was going to put, there isn't a better noise, fact.
Second best is the GT2 corvette Lemans car this year, noise so immense that it hurt my ears at the same time as making me feel all fuzzy inside.
This is one of the very few threads that actually interest me on CS, so an amazing amount of work done and mostly by yourself! Would love to have the knowledge etc to do this, really cant wait to see the finish piece. Should weigh hardly anything and with the trick suspension...
Having had cheap coilovers on my track clio, you just as better off with a standard setup to cheap coilovers.
The best priced coilover setup with adjustablility is the FK Konigsport coilovers, they go stiff enough as well as hard wearing. I know a few people on these as well as myself having...
Anyone else have the Pagani Zonda cinque roadster? Got to be by far my best car on the game! Even with 1100bhp and 900 lb/ft it still grips like nothing else!
Lol is all I'm going to say about this thread.
Jay has it spot on pretty much, wider track so better grip. Plus as he's said 2 years of driving and not a problem, plus that's not pansy road track driving, that's racing.
Going to have a look a it still tomorrow, may not be px'ing it with the Audi though unless he shaves a 'reasonable' amount off the price of his car if the dephaser is shot.
Just spoken to the chap, from what he was explaining it has 'noisy hydraulic tappets' which in reality means the dephaser's on the way out. He explained that its tappy on idle however over 1300rpm the noise goes away which as said screams out dephaser. So possibly not much of a good deal now...
Well yeah that's at least a £100 in his pocket you've taken off him from the car.
I'm not too fussed about mileage, not looking to break it for spares and if anything goes on it I can source bits relatively cheap for it anyways.
Possible px with one of my cars chap, having just got off the phone to him he knows that its a very competitive price and wont be budging a lot. Still the ideal sort of car for me!
For Roy and Turkish -
This is exactly my point, so many other variables that factor in with driving, which makes winter tyres look rather insignificant now to me.
But I'm not telling people to not get them, I'm just saying for mine and Daniels circumstances they aren't that worthwhile.
Not a...
I'm not forgetting that they offer more grip in the dry in cold conditions at all. Lets try to be sensible for goodness sake...
What I'm saying is there's people that aren't driving to the conditions regardless of the time of year/conditions, a lot of people do but there's people who think that...
Pretty strong opinion, surely teaching people to drive accordingly to the conditions also would be beneficial?
Coupled with winter tyres would probably make things a hell of a lot smoother/easier on the roads and bring accidents down.
The problem I see with winter tyres is that some people...
I won't be getting any for my Audi, granted they may well work better but I've done just fine when I've had to use the car since I've been driving. So I can see Daniels point as well as the winter tyre guys.
It all comes down to what you'll be using the car for, where you live etc etc. People...
Lol too easy! ;)
P.s. Even Gally fell for it! Lol
In truth I couldn't care if people think what I drive is horrible/gay/family orientated, 313bhp and 272lb/ft of torque from N/A with a great chassis is what makes me happy!
