Thanks for the offer, but I think I would rather buy a tub as it would last me sometime I would imagine. What are your opnions on the temptation wax, in terms of finish and application? Do you give the car a coat of polish after?
Looking for a low priced wax as I am new to the detialing scene, and not wanting to go crazy with my first few purchases. Would you purchase the Autoglym HD wax or the Autofinesse 'Temptation' wax? Can these waxes both be easily applied by a microfiber cloth as I do not have a machine polisher.
I would imagine it is a manual one (I could be wrong)as when previous belt on it was very tight, and the replacement belt seems just right IMO, but it must be slipping. I can't figure out why the wet makes it worse.
Apologies for bumping my own thread, but I was doing some research online about this issue, and I am wondering if the 1.4 MK3 engine requires specialist Renault locking tools to fully tighten it? The belt feels tight but I am wondering if the rain/water is acting as a lubricant and causing it to...
Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with my Clio MK3 2006 1.4 with 79k on the clock, where it has this frustrating 'chirping' noise coming from the belt area. The car had a timing belt kit change before it was purchased, and recently I have also changed the belt changed to see if the noise...
Thanks for the replies guys, I had a feeling it was too severe to be saved by hand scratch removers, I will have a go with some sort of scratch remover (maybe that Maguiars as mentioned above) to see what it comes out like for the sake of £15 before making the decision if it worth getting it...
Can anyone recommend a decent scratch remover? I have some medium (not deep so nail gets stuck when gliding over it with a finger) scratches. I was thinking this stuff might be worth a punt? Don't really want to use sand paper kits etc, and no more than £15 preferably...
Hi Guys,
I left my lights on today for 2 hours by accident, and when I came back and started it and stalled itself, and tried again but it took about 3 seconds of the key turned to start, so took it for a drive and hopefully put some charge in the battery. Never had starting problems before so...
Yeah I was thinking changing them as they would not know what came with it from the factory? I am going to join the forum I think, as the £12 will help me place a wanted wheel ad if I go ahead and decide to change them :) Also this sounds like a silly question but would wind deflectors void my...
Hi Guys,
I currently own a MK3 clio 1.4 Dynamique which has the 15" Mahonia alloy wheels which I really dislike and feel lets the cars looks down. This is my first car so I have to be careful with modifications and insurance at 17, and will not be modifying it in the first year. My question is...
I think the cable might just need adjusting, if the clutch is not slipping and it just feels heavy then I would be inclined to think a new clutch is not necessary. You can test if your clutch is fine by putting it into 5th gear and slowly releasing the clutch, it should stall fairly quickly...
I am looking to bring back the life in the front plastic on my car, such as the grills and possibly the plastic trim running along the doors? My car is a MK3 Clio, which the plastic looks pretty dated (Grant it's an 06 plate), anything I can purchase to 'rejuvenate' the plastic, such as a spray...
