Alignment, geo and corner weighting - use jtech automotive in Caversham mate. They do all mine. Very, very good. Tell them I sent you and they may sort you out a deal.
Roll centre hubs - they're fine to use on a daily, but it was more from a wear and tear perspective. I.e. If you're doing loads...
Cheers
It is a good circuit, and I'll head back next year. Can be quite technically challenging as well. Goof up one corner and it can throw you off the right line for the next few etc.
Satisfying when you string a decent lap together!
Where has yours gone off to?
I agree that the smoke is caused by oil burning, and I'm afraid OP that could be something terminal.
But saying the map has nothing to do with using oil isn't correct. If it was mapped badly, it may be why the rings have gone hence the oil now making it past them.
Sounds eerily familiar to my...
Just to say, received my tickets today. Top work gents, very professional set up. Thank you!
(Ps. Afraid I'll need to bring a Jerry can, unless the tesco stocks momentum?).
@Fletcher and @TimR26 can you ask whoever is admin on our text group to delete and re-add me please. I've got a new phone and it has cocked up the group messages meaning I can't send / receive one to the group. Please :)
I removed mine and got it powder coated black, along with other bits. Main reason was the boost hosing for the charger mounts up to it.
But as Gray said, can happily do away with it if not needed.
Thankfully not all mine. Although if I ever decide to go weird like the rest of you lot and start collecting them I know I can get 6 on the drive and one in the garage :)
I'm not sure on a Renault 1.4 but I thought some people with 1.4 k-series turbo'd them to around 200-220bhp? Was a lot of money thought, i.e. £10k.....
On a lower budget, 150-160 on a 1.4 k series was achievable.
I use J-Tech for all my suspension and body work on mine, they are brilliant.
I ordered my AST's through them aswell. 3 weeks from order to fitted on the car :)
I know what you mean. It's weird. In some lights it really shows up lighter. In others it looks ok.
Probably painted before my time, I haven't had it painted! Lol! Up close its no show car, dents etc all over it. As long as it works mechanically, I'm not too fussed!
Thanks man.
It's got cup wishbones, roll centre kit giving it another 10mm either side, then 16mm spacers to clear the brembos and et36 on the Willys wheels. It's quite wide. It rubbed on the bilsteins but the spring rate on the ASTs means it was fine at Anglesey :)
