Clio Colours... How many different blacks are there?

Might be Pearl Black (mines a 53 plate) - don't know what the code is though for it. Take it to a body shop otherwise at a Renault dealership.

Gloss M Seal & XXX Wax

Cool. I'm going to buy some and rub it all over my naked body. I mean car...:quiet: Dave Graham from Clean & Shiny has been very helpfull at suggesting some products without being a pushy salesman. This is good!

Gloss M Seal & XXX Wax

Thinking of trying some new products: Extreme Gloss M Seal XXX Hardcore Wax Has anyone tried this combo? Would these be enough to use on mint pearl black or should I still use some polish occassionally? Answers on a postcard please...

    Im having leather bucket seats....

I use a wet cloth to wipe leather over, then a leather protector every six months or so. IMO the leather protectors that aren't designed for car interiors are just as good, for example leather jackets. Seem to work just the same!

    Alloy cleaning..

What I used at work on filthy wheels was: truck wash - left on for 2 minutes then sprayed off using high pressure hose at high temp wheel acid - various makes, but strong acids so cant leave on for longer than 2 minutes without risking alloy corrosion, especially on the nuts. the trick I found...

    Meguiars Deep Crystal Carbauba Wax

I used the stage 3 wax on my old mans boxster as a top up for the diamondbrite. Worked pretty well, only criticism seemed to produce a lot of static. Would recommend though, although can't vouch for the whole system as not used it all.

    PCING.. the great debate

In the South East near Hertfordshire. Was going to use the body shop at the saab dealership in welwyn (squire furneaux). Think they are pretty good as they get a lot of insurance work for premier cars like BMW, Jags, Audi...

    PCING.. the great debate

Yeh looks sweet mate. How often do you do yours "properly" with the PC (all layers)? Thinking might just get bodyshop to do mine. Does look deeper than can be accomplished by hand.

    PCING.. the great debate

How often do you Pc yoour car though? I'm tempted to take it into our bodyshop and have them do it well once (which they will do professionally for £50) then just re-diamondbrite it again as it is now. Might be more cost efective that way, as don't intend PCing the car every time I wash it...

    PCING.. the great debate

Metallic black on a 172, so not the black gold the 182 has. I've diamondbrited it, and also use Megs stage 3 carnuba. Looks mint really, water beads off awesomely and feels smooth as glass to touch. What you think?

    My engine is very diry

The one I used was about £1500 but you can pick up a Karcher one for cheap from Halfords. The cheap ones though will lack power (measured in Pounds per Square Inch - P.S.I) and a heating element which greatly reduces cleaning time as it removes oil and grime, especially when used with truck...

    Something to protect mats

Doesn't have s**t matts over the nice ones all the time defeat the object of forking out for the good ones though?

    PCING.. the great debate

Ok. After months of believing that I don't need a PC, and am fully satisfied with the "old fashioned" wax- on wax- off method, as practiced by the karate kid, I am starting to think that maybe I should give PCing a go. Rich or other avid fans, would you say it really is worth the buy, even if...

    My engine is very diry

Truck wash then a blast from a pressure washer at around 80 celcius does the trick. If you don't have either of these use a mild wheel cleaner if you have any with some warm water.

    dust on my car

Can't remember who made it but last year had a really good shampoo which contained Teflon - aka the non- stick compound used on frying pans, plane wings etc. Was pretty expensive but worked a treat. Bought it from Halfords but not sure if they still stock it. Bloody good though!

    mk2 clio bodykits

Agreed. All bodykits that have unecessary vents and grills look stupid IMO. That's why people like Clio Sports - nicely understated. If you want a daft bodykit stick to the Novas, stop ruining the 172/182s! You don't want to look like Tim "The Nob" Westwood has pimped your ride do you?!?!

Omar's car is going to the bodyshop!

The cars that I worked on from the bodyshop were fine to work on after a few hours, don't need to wait days or weeks like some people reckon.

Finally settled on my choosen waxes....

Bloody good work my friend. Something very satisfying about black cars- we have 3 on our drive: Porsche Boxster, new Golf and........ Ford Ka (which is about to be upgraded to a 172 in black, at last!!)

    £5000 car wash

What mug pays £5k though? For that money you would expect some kind of system that cleans the car for you for the rest of its life. Having said that, I would love the opportunity to try out some of his products and see if they actually make that much of a difference. From past exprience, the...

    Car Mat cleaning . .

This is what I do: Remove matts and shake vigorously! Hoover off remaining debris. Use a fly- brush (one of the semi- abrasive sponges you can use to remove dead flies from the forward facing areas in the summer months, which you can get from Serious Performance products) in conjunction...

Try diamondbrite, if you apply it correctly it works really well, as long as you top up with the branded shampoo

    Removing Interior Plastic Scratches/Scuffs?

Try using a solvent based product on a bit of cloth. Make sure you clean off the product after though as some CAN lead to slight dmage to the plastic, although this is rare. Try using vinegar at first, working up to a bit of nail varnish. I used to have these wipes made by a firm called Swarfega...

    Cleaning Cabriolet fabric...

cleaning a roof can be done with no chemicals at all, depending on the state and if you have a pressure washer, preferably with a heating element. If this is the case, put it up to about 80 degrees celcius, and spray at a distance of at least a couple of feet, ensuring you spray in straight...
