I paid 235 to get mine refurbed. I picked up a spare for £88 on the bay a while back.

try spraying WD40 down the cable. Also check that your TB is not sticking, an easy way of doing this is rotate the black plastic thing that holds the cable by hand.. if it's difficult to get it to move at first then try cleaning inside the TB with a bit of WD40 on a rag.

Well the car went to Paul @ RS tuning on thursday... It now works properly! Absolute top chaps there knew exactly what they were doing. Turns out both cams were mistimed... despite my mechanic guaranteeing me 100% that they weren't. Just got to go back up for the custom map. I'm after a ph1/v6...

Dont really wanna pay a few hundred quid for the 182 manifold for very small gains. It always was (and is) my intention to have the car custom mapped, but it's not running properly and I think it's more than just the map thats at fault. At the mo I'm thinking my vvt solenoid isnt working...

Not if you dont turn it enough to actually open the throttle. I meant turn it so it is just resting on the screw, not so the screw is pushing it open.

If its a cable throttle body there is a screw on it, turn this screw (2.5mm allan key) until it just stops it sticking.

I think that's it, at least it is on my car (scenic with the f4r)

I've bought them from gsf and euro before. The dogbone one was EXACTLY the same - had the same markings on and was half the price, that was from euro. Had a top mount from gsf and that was fine and half the renault price.

Its actually a scenic, had the top end and exhaust manifold etc from a ph1 fitted.

I use db poweramp for all my conversion/ripping. Its absolutely awesome and you can get a codec pack for it that has pretty much any codec you would ever want to use. You can set your cd drive up with it as well and use it to do secure and accurate rips.
