The whole country in one spot in a miniature village. I tried to take the shots to make it look at real as possible, some have worked better than others. Was a great morning out either way. :D
A good friend of mine has offered me the chance to buy a new Canon 5D mkII for a bargain price (35% discount!)
In order to be able to buy it, I would have to sell pretty much all the gear that I have already. It would be ace to have a full frame camera and IMHO, the 5D mkII would not need...

Lighting was tricky, the room was very dark with the lights on their lowest setting and using the flash was not an option when your wife is trying to endure more pain than should be possible. So, ISO1600, f1,4 and some photos to remember the experience...
I have just got a new router with wireless N. The box says "upto 300 mbps" but I can't get it over 135mbps, even if the PC is next to the router. I have tried all the channels, checked to see if there were any other connections in the neighbourhood on similar channels and moved the router around...

I was bored last night as the wife was out, we have no internet at home and there was nothing on TV so I thought I would get into BluePeter mode and try making a lightbox to play with.
I didn't play with it that long and would benefit from using a macro lens but results are below:

A couple of years back, somebody posted some pics of the rear wings of a 172 with slightly wider rear arches. They looked like a scaled down version of the V6 with the visible seam. It was supposedly a development mule or something from Renault themselves and not aftermarket.
Anybody got one...

I have a network application and I need to be able to print to a text file from it without having to fill in any prompts for save locations/ files names.
The standard windows text file printer only works if you choose a file location and name so that is not an option.

I am just about to go drilling holes through the floor for speaker cables and would like to make sure I am placing them where they need to be before I anchor them to the walls.
Cheers!
Evening all... after a rather impulsive purchase of a 24" monitor yesterday I am now after something to manage both it and my 19".
I have installed Gridmove which seems pretty good (and free!) but wondered what other people were using.
Cheers!
As the weather was nice, I did the same as everybody else seems to and took the camera out for a walk!
