I've got the Live Hub. It has network connectivity too so you can also stream to it from a PC or from it if you want to watch something on a laptop elsewhere in the house.
They're a great bit of kit, and simple enough that my mother in law (babysits for my kids) and wife can stick a film on too.
That Dutch V6 is a silly price. I've been watching it for a while but it's not shifting. Ph1 models also still go for over €16K with 60K miles. Ah well, my kids won't fit in the back anyway. :(
Supposedly the first 200 hours of a plasma screen break in the phosphors. After that, they are a lot less sensitive to image retention and burn in.
I didn't know it was an issue until after I bought a plasma. Just don't use the extra bright/ vivid modes to start with.
I'm just about to reinstall windows and can't remember the name of the site which creates a package of all the software that you normally add (firefox, notepad++, vlc, 7Zip etc).
I saw it first mentioned on here but can't find it again. Anybody point me in the right direction?
Cheers!
Here's an example of a remote that is useful for stuff like this.

Can do shots on intervals, shots for as long as you want etc etc.
A couple of shots from a VW meet that I went to in the summer. Not really p**n, but German all the same.
Wheels are probably worth more than the car
"Stance"?
Love that site.
There are also a load more decent photos from the Dakar (including some historic stuff) here:

I just tried to take a shot of the moon but 200mm is nowhere near close enough on the 5DII.
This is pretty much a 100% crop. :(

In any mode other than the green box, you can change pretty much everything.
On my 5DII the reset option is called "clear settings" and it is on one of the menu tabs with a spanner. Stick it in manual mode before you open the menu in order to see everything. The Green Box mode hides most...
With Canon you can do it if the camera is plugged into a PC/ Laptop using the Canon software, or you can get cheap remotes from Hong Kong/ eBay that will also do it for you.
There used to be a load of threads stickied at the top with the lists. They are slowly disappearing into oblivion but a search should dredge them back up.
I disagree that doing PP is cheating. Photographers have always done it, it was just more effort in the darkroom rather than on a PC.
I read something on POTN where somebody was saying that using Autofocus was cheating too and that good photographers only shot manual, with manual focus...
I nearly bought the gear4 one, but decided to go for the Logitech instead so that my wife/ kids could also make use of it too.
My phone can control the media player, PC and TV anyway with various apps using the network. Too many remotes in our house!
