iPhone 5S Repair Costs (got wet)

Just realised I have it insured with my bank. They've accepted it as a claim and will turn it around in 3 working days. have to pay £100 excess which isn't too bad and certainly cheaper than a new phone. Thanks for all the replies though guys.

iPhone 5S Repair Costs (got wet)

My phone managed to fall out of my pocket whilst cleaning the car, in to the bucket of water and has now developed intermittent signal issues. Having never had to repair a phone before, does anyone have a rough idea how much it might be and where's the best place to send it? Just what I need...

    Anybody repair Macbooks? (south east)

I think the 2011 models were plagued with this issue and so Apple were offering free repairs. Could be completely wrong tho.

    Macbook pro - Yosemite issues

Can't help directly, but would recommend installing Sophos AV and CleanMyMac2. The latter is a paid for app, but I find really useful to delete all the cr*p off my macbook pro. Might also be worth running Disk Util and run "Verify Disk", "Verify Disk Permissions". They will most likely find a...

    Assasins Creed Unity

The story is very flakey, but I found once you buy all the cafes and do the side missions, it kind of makes the game better. Also the online missions are quite fun. I just hate with a passion the way the character sticks to every object in the vicinity when I just want to free-run. The controls...

For anyone interested, the Dead Kings DLC is now available for free (8GB download). It contains roughly an extra 5 hours game play.

    Nest Installation

I saw on the Nest forum that people are still having issues now, which makes it all more confusing. Perhaps another 12 months and things will settle down.

Had a quick look and I see what you mean. I've just got of the phone to apple and have cancelled my order. Don't even want to take the risk, especially as I've just forked out £160. PS. thanks for the heads up:)

    Assasins Creed Unity

Its good fun sneaking about and doing stealth kills. I recently unlocked the gas bombs which is great fun watching the criminals die from a roof top vantage;) Another tip: When you purchase the theatre (or whatever its called), throw money at the upgrades as you'll make more money quicker.

    Assasins Creed Unity

There's an AC App you can download and log in to with your UPlay account. It not only gives you a live map of where you are but also allows you to do side missions which unlock the the blue chests. Also if you play the online missions, you get more AC points to unlock skills etc. PS. Looks...

    Philips Hue and Living colours

Just seen they also sell a wall mounted light switch that can be specifically programmed. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/networking/networking/home-security-automation/philips-hue-tap-wireless-lighting-smart-switch-10029133-pdt.html Very tempted now!!!

    Philips Hue and Living colours

Seriously tempted to invest in some of these, but my only concern is how does it work with the light switch? Surely it would be annoying if you had to use the phone to turn a bedroom light on each time ? (Or have I missed something?)
