A VTS/GTI are silly money to insure though in comparison to the clio, Quotes coming back at over £3k thats 1k more than the clio 1.6 and about the same as a 172/182/197...., Its becuase of the reputation of the saxos and 106s that push the premiums up and i think clios are heading the same way :(
Personally i think its a pretty good engine, You always seem to be in the right gear unlike the 1.2 and its got enough power to get you about. 0-60 times are decent aswell. Best car for a young driver if they can get a decent insurance quote. I wouldnt consider one if i was over 19 though as...
im guessing you mean your after euro style wheels, id go for 15x8 with nankang 185 45 15 tyres on, Gives good poke and requires little arch modifications :)
