Depends on condition. Cups are at an age now where I'd buy on history and condition over mileage.
If it's been well maintained by an enthusiast then I'd have no issues. If it's had twelve owners, has budget tyres and generally looks rough, obviously I'd walk.
£1.5k at the most, based on that...
All the factory mounts. Nothing's been modified at all.
Just take the lower mount out, feed the belt off the loop, feed the belt through the seat then back onto the loop. Then bolt the fixing back into the sill.
I've even used the factory buckle, just drilled a 10mm hole in the Sparco subframe...
Recaro Pole Position in my car, but you get the idea of how to run OE belts with them.
Off picture, but they just run through the 6-point hole at the bottom side, then out to the mounting points the belts use.
I don't think so, no. The front setup is different on mine too, being a late 200. :(
I think I'll go with the Billies, but I've just heard that they're a little soft for track.
Mk2's are cheaper track cars, but Mk3's are better all round.
Watch out for lower ball/spherical joints, gearbox syncro issues, noises from the rack and split manifold flexis.
All give off decent warnings that you can pick up on the test drive. Clunking from the front end over smaller, low speed...
Unreal. The ease and returns of this swap are amazing, all things considered.
I think if mine were to ever pop (touch wood not) then I'd get this swap done. It turns them into monsters.
Saw on Instagram and Sammie's Facebook about the kids mate. Brutal. Little sh*ts.
It's far too nice a car to let that happen again. What pattern are those OZ's by the way? Seriously tempted by a set myself.
