looks much better taking it back to standard :)
same plan I have for my ph1 when I get around to tidying her up
keep the updates coming :)
p.s. I second the comment about buying a car with no rusty arches, makes life alot easyer :D
ok maybe my wording was incorrect, but for the purpose of this thread where the chap has a popped circlip, fitting of a bolt in diff and reconditioning of his box would be around £350 if that is the route he wanted to take. Does that keep everyone happy? :D
mine popped on my mk1, replaced it twice, second time welding it. They lasted one drive each so would say just replace the box. Friend of mine has recently had his box rebuilt and a bolt in installed for around £300
I was advised to bleed the car with the engine running. Worked a treat. Handy to know if ever it happens to you :) mine ran dry as I was changing the rear beam
also used an easy bleed kit plus used the foot pedal together
On my 172 ph2, literally every time I open my bonnet the metal elbow has popped out of the breather hole and dangles down
running the standard intake hose atm
Anyone else had this problem or come up with a solution?
