They is a couple of people in the class who mentioned of using one, i didn't know that this could be the answer, i spoke to the guy Philip and he thinks i have may of messed up the setting some where but i very much doubt it. It's been like this for quit some time as long as i can remember...
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/929863 think i may of found that i need to do a monitor calibration. I'm not 100% sure but looks like the obvious choice
Been looking at this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006TF3746/?tag=cliospnet01-21, or if anyone has one i can borrow or buy of them??
Thanks for the help Yanoo, just had a proper read on those links, when i first read them quicky i didn't understand so i had a good look and sat down and i more understand on it now. I've always shot my landscapes quit high, i'll shoot a bit lower to get more sharpness  Let's say i'm on...
This is where sometimes i get myself confused on when to use what aperture on my landscapes. I've been told of the guy at class to use F22 but i've found that that's not always the case. After seeing some videos the best range for landscapes as you say Yanoo is around mid range Aperture, in my...
I wasn't 100% sure on what was meaning by MF, is this where the lens doesn't have a AF on it, just MF? I wan't a lens where it has both MF and AF. Sometimes i find it hard using MF to get things in focus where i want it as i cant see it properly. Is infinite basicly front to back focus all the...
All i can see is 2 big black squares, can't see my pics at all. If you lot can see them, one is a colour and the other in B&W, wasnt happy with the tide this time round
Yeah i have the 24-105 Aaron, I think i was meaning the 17-40mm F/4 lens for the price. Nah not manual lenses.
I'm using Elements 11 and that's all i have apart from the DPP that i got from Canon but far prefer to use Photoshop. Lightroom will be really good for me but i don't think i need it...
Still not happy with the editing, as soon as it goes into JPEG it goes darker. Any one have any ideas? It's very annoying. Had a pop down to Seaham after work, spent 3 hours on this beach the clouds on the horizon were pretty good like. Next lens is going to be a Wide Lens something like...
i can see some good lines on the roof/white windows of the first pic, esp on the overhang on the far left, i'd look there first. And the send pic straight up shot i think for that one???
Yeah something like that, need a tripod or something to get it dead centre and you know it wont move. Try get in closer if you can. That's the sort of stuff i'm trying to attempt in Liverpool next weekend lol. Fingers crossed. As for the clouds, you need good cloud formation i think over cast is...
Had a quick pop out at the back fields round here. Need some pics for the class's homework on Depth of Field. Saw some nice cloud formations but struggled on them as they were going in the wrong direction and couldn't get the angle i wanted on them. I used -1 EV to get nice exposure on the...
Thanks, i saw it as a leading line lol. See things much more differently now. Shooting building and architecture is one of many areas i really want to get into too and a weak point for me. I think you need to look for leading lines, get a main point of the building in the centre of the shot...

It's a ok shot but more importantly what's peoples thoughts on the editing that i done? second attempt at this black and white pic. Still goes darker just a little after converting it in jpeg hmmm
I'm really pleased to be honest and thanks, i thought it's a good shot and it's doing shocking on flickr about 70 views and 1 fave. Not doing my confidence any good, been a fair few times i thought was a good shot and i've deleted it of flickr cos of no faves as you lot have noticed a lot of...
Bucket and Mop by Mark Geddes, on Flickr
Some of you lot might laugh at this one, but was about to mop up and some really nice light came through the window and shadows of the bucket, so i moved some stuff out the way as it was in the shot and took it.
I honestly laughed when you said if i'd be interested to join a exhibition, a few people told me to enter competitions. Me thinking about doing them i don't think i'm ready but people say i am, Hmmm. Put that aside yeah if you can let me know the info i will look into it and may be 1 year from...
f**king hell Tony art exhibition, very very good. I wonder if the people standing right next to you knew who you were lol? How long have you been into photography then?

Outside of a Pub by Mark Geddes, on Flickr
Once i edited them and converted them into jpeg they seems to have changed very slightly from the picture before i saved it. Am i doing something wrong? Can't seem to get a image exactly looking the...
I've still got a lot to learn in photography and I think honestly I'm still not very good. I was very very surprised that they showed a picture of mine on TV. At first I thought it was someone else with the same name as me. With only 5 months experience I've still got a lot to learn
Arrived at work today as normal and 2 people came up to me saying they saw one of my pictures on the North East local news over the weekend. As far as i know they show 1 pic before or after they show the weather forcast. My picture came up also with my name, i think it's the Old Fulling Mill one...
The Temple by Mark Geddes, on Flickr
Finally sussed how to work the ND 10 stopper. All this time i didn't know how to use it properly until today. I didn't read the shutter readings before using the filter and times it by 10 to give the true shutter reading with the ND filter
Got a question, if you got a focus point say at the front of the pic and you want it in focus and you got other focus points in the pic that you want in focus too further back in the pic. Would you have it in F16? I've tried F22 on some shots and the front focus point seems a bit out of focus...
