Thats a good sign at least, mine was doing a litre+ in no problem at all on full track days.
No thread yet, not got any photos to put in it lol. Colour she chose isn't even on the online config and the few photos I have found are of lesser models or photoshops. Hope she bloody likes it when it...
Yeah the head was ruined on mine so he sourced me a better engine to put in. I think mine was just down to abuse, living up in the high revs all the time. It has never had an easy life. Was starting to get quite thirst oil wise as well.
My last one dropped a valve because I was a chav with a...
Yeah was a bent valve. Should of put supertechs in when i cammed it and learnt my lesson from my 1st 182 lol. But owel live and learn i guess.
Supertechs are going in this time though with boost!
Don't do it haha! I hate to think how much money I have threw at it this year.
So I sulked and left it sat in the bodyshop for a week or so while I decided whether to fix it with the cammed engine or bang another standard engine back etc. Then got talking with a few mates about boosting it for a laugh so gave Andy a text to discuss a few options, more just to see what was...
Thought I best start one of these so I can keep everything in one place. Its not back out to play yet but I'm sure it won't be long.
So it started off as a lovely lowish mileage RB 182. Added a few mods
Cooksport springs with suspension refresh
Pure motorsport strut brace + solid top mounts...
Its been a great car though, never seen a dealership for anything other than a service and its covered nearly 30k in 2 years. Its had plenty of abuse as well lol.
Got any more track days planned? I can't wait for my clio to come back so I can get more booked, haven't done one since May.
Yeah...
How much is left? We mapped it towards the end of 2nd year warranty as once you read what was actually covered in 3rd year it wasn't a great deal.
Although ours is going in December time for a 180 now.
Agreed value is only any use though if you can prove it will cost that to buy another surely? In which case you don't really need an agreed value unless its very rare surely?
Adrian Flux told me when I asked for agreed value on my old car that they didn't do it because if they agreed it at 10k...
Epic car. Depending on how quickly you want rid of it, give John a call at Lotus hard tops, he buys in Lotus/VX220s.
I would love it, I think my Mrs would kill me though after spending so much on the Clio this year lol.
I've had 2 aftermarket wheels now both with the Momo hub and I'm fairly certain the hub has nothing to do with the auto cancelling indicators.
You literally just pull a clip off your current stalk, move it onto phase 1 and the indicators work as normal.
Just get a Momo Hub.
Phase 1 clio indicator stalk, you just need a small part off your current indicator stalk and transfer it to the phase 1, this will also do your horn aswell.
Haha you are absolutely right though and that was the plan along with some ATS DTC alloys but obviously I didn't get that far haha.
It is only a car at the end of the day. Could of been 100x worse.
Ended up in a ditch at about 35-40. Car drove absolutely fine once pulled out, no suspension damage etc but it had some clam damage and lower sill damage.
Obviously the price of brand new parts + fitting/painting etc meant to them it was not worth repairing. Even when I told them about none...
I wish I sold it lol. I binned it.
Yeah Clio should be a weapon, caged, carbon seats, forged engine etc. Haven't driven it since May, miss driving something fun! Got Nurburgring and Spa in 3 week.
It made a boy of me lol. Should of waited until I had a garage to store it and buy a 2nd car instead of rushing into it and using it daily.
Now have a garage and a daily. Want another one but will wait until me and the mrs have bought a house.
Building a 300+ Clio 182 track car instead...
