Thanks for the comments. Car is nearly there, got the wheels refurnished earlier this year so they're mint. Next on the list is getting the front bumper resprayed and the full 5 year service:(.
The flat bed truck almost took off my genuine splitter. It had more flex in it than I thought they did ha!
It was f**king comical at times mate, typing s**t on google translate for them to read only for them to give me that look and go huh! Got there in the end though and the breakdown service handled all the taxi, hotel garage and s**t. They were very good under the French circumstances tbh...
Well it's been over a year since I added to this thread:eek:.
Thought I'd popup a couple of pics I took while in Dieppe the other week. I had absolutely no intentions of going there but tragically the bean failed me 1h into France just outside Abbeville with the dash lighting up all over one by...

It's only "pikey" if you're claiming for injuries you don't have where as it's stupid not claiming for injuries you do have tbh.
It's why we all pay insurance....
After over 5 years I went from a ph2 172 to a 182FF for just the same reasons as you. Car needed money spending on it and mileage was getting a bit high. I'd also have probably gone looking at Z3/4's and the like but then I wouldn't be able to chuck my bike in the back and go round Europe etc...
The splitter is very weak so many have fallen off. It's also expensive to replace with genuine although Skoda splitters for £10-15 look 90% as good so don't worry about that.
Don't completely discount the Cup if it's mint and well priced and your not too bothered about the poverty interior. But...
