Last attempt with it this evening. I've got some hard drive recovery software called Recuva. It's trying to scan the drive for any files that it can. If this doesn't work then I'm out of ideas.

I'm worried that the checkout is going to put the transaction through as payment rather than the finance. I have to money to buy it but I'd be mega skint for until the end of November. I've got so far in the checkout to where it says "place order now" but there is no sign of an option for finance.

I was going to get it on the tick and I'm not too sure how the finance side of things will work.

That could be where I've gone wrong. I've been trying to do it through windows.

I'm using a second laptop and a SATA to USB 2.0 adaptor to try and gain access to the drive.

Bump. I'm struggling to figure this one out. I can't take ownership of the drive so I can get into it to view the file on it.

Good news; the hard drive is showing up on another laptop. Bad news; I can't get into it. Any ideas?
