Good effort mate. It looks a stunner that flamer. Really is lovely but as you say if a car comes up that you just want then go for it, you'll regret it if you don't. Do you mind me asking what it is?
As stated just bought a nice 172 Monaco for cheap. I reckon it needs the belts doing..the dephaser is rattling. Receipt from 2012 for the belts. Just thinking I may just get rid of it, was blinded by the cheap price. Is there any point spending £600 on getting the belts done when that's what the...
The only thing I would say is that the standard 172 wheels are quite heavy. If it were me I'd be finding a set of cheap 15 inch wheels. Tyres will be cheaper too. Looking good all the same
Might be worth changing the gearbox oil. Royal purple (I think it's called) is great in BM gearboxes, will make a huge difference and won't cost too much
Cheers Craig. I previously had a trophy but it was mint and I wouldn't have taken it on track albeit it was epic on a back road. Unfortunately the guy with the Monaco isn't budging on his price so onto the next one. Like the wee pugeot aswell but it's overpriced for what it is
Ok so what happens if you bin it into someone else?
Sorry for the questions but it's something I really want to do. Issue is it's already mid summer and I don't have a car ready for track!
I really want to get into this lads. £170 for the day, are there any other costs on top of that? I'm looking at a couple of cars in the for sale section just now, specifically the Monaco 172 that seems track prepared for £2k
Is it a K11 you own mate? I bloody love mine. It just goes and goes. I did a full service and brand new pads and discs for £50.
Gives me 52mpg and is hilarious on the bends with the spongiest suspension I've ever experience in a car
You know what. That's easily my favourite clio on here by a margin. So tastefully done and it has enough power to demolish most cars out on the roads. Absolutely love that.
If you were to sell it tomorrow how much would you be asking? It looks in excellent nick (this is a completely...
They were stunning mate. I still have the guy Colin's number. As you say though wheel refurb companies can be hit and miss. Those m3 wheels are a pain in the ass to keep good. I changed mine to CSL alloys because of it.
