My Son likes it, too and said that's what I should do with my ph1 (now it's in bits waiting for a rebuild). Not sure which 'white' it is though. Competition White from Honda?
Should be straightforward to remove it. Degas and then uncouple it at the joint near the bulkhead above the brake fluid reservoir (undo 1 10mm bolt). Remove 2 10mm bolts from pump. Remove front bumper. Unclip and unbolt other 10mm bolts and it's out. If anything though mine feels more powerful...
They look to be specially made for the fuel rail so I might have to get a second hand ruel rail then. The engine is coming out so it won't be any bother removing the lost injectors in the mainfold in a day or two's time.
It isn't easy, but it's do-able. You won't need 7l as it doesn't all come out - unless you dismantle the engine. Taking off the bottom hose clip is the biggest pain in the a*se ever (unless you have the right pliers, but I use mole grips). Take the clip off and throw it away, and replace it with...
This stuff. Smells like old people but it works.

I pulled a pretty stubborn fuel rail off today (it's been on for 12 years) and basically some bits broke off. It was the metal circlips that broke, but two injectors came out and two decided to stay inside the manifold. If I take off the manifold will I be able to push them out and will the...
KTR aren't offering you any proof of their product's capability - they just say they tend to see these gains. I'd spend the money instead on track driving -learning how to get consistently the most out of these peculiar little cars. But if you want to chase the dream of more power then do it...
Real Cups are now rare just like rocking horse poo (and the rocking horses probably have a better service history). Many have the wrong parts on them and have been battered like a cod!
Be prepared to travel and pay £s to find one if you're serious. Someone's selling their's for nearly 4,000 on...
To me it's the same question as an ST Focus or an RS Focus. The ST can have the same power (from Mountune) just like a normal 182 can have all the Cup parts - but it still isn't the real thing. Just a badge snobbery thing I know.
You really won't be able to decide until you go and see a car that's advertised. Be prepared to travel. Also ask the seller first about other things that aren't listed. I've seen five 172 Cups so far and decided not to make an offer. Not right if I say this was one of them or not, you need to...
A long motorway journey always makes mine better, but hear what you say about cash. Mine does it sometimes, just hesitate and then picks up again ok. I have just bought another engine with all the sensors. I will try a new sensor every week and see if it changes anything. I'll let you know.
Water pump on the airbox side? Don't think so.
Take off the airbox. Look at the radiator where the fan housing sits against it. They can vibrate and wear a gap. You may see some staining on the radiator bottom hose if it is. Will leak as it warms up and when it vibrates (on more bump roads?)...
I was told you can buy something to replace it with from places like Demon 'Geeks - some type of heat proof lining. I agree they look really horrible. Pull it out and stick something shiney in.
Parkers show that a good example of a 172 Cup will cost £2,100. I've been to see five and they all required quite a lot of work. They were all over £2,700. Right car + right price = me buying it. Basically the rules to follow to sell a car easily are that it should be standard, be clean and tidy...
