5th Gear offered me the chance to have my car driven by Jason Plato at Millbrook against the Clio200.They were very polite and keen to have me but as of last night at 6pm l was unable to get the time off work so had to decline.I have now been given the time off and contacted them but 5th Gear...
I've just been offered this as the other car they had was modded but l am waiting to see if l can have next week off.Hopefully i'll be okay as l don't want to keep them hanging on...
I'm pretty sure they will be very professional and friendly...and with Top Gear no longer being a car program 5th Gear is 'the' choice for info...AND they have the best drivers by far.No one drives like Tiff.
I'm sure that whoever goes will have a great day and still have their car in one piece.
Funny b*****d ;)
My boy racer days are long behind me.There used to be an old bloke near where l lived years ago who had a black XR3i.My brother and l used to say "Why's he got that when he drives so slow?" I think l'm turning into him!
Would love to try a track day but thats another topic.
Anyone owned both? For day-to-day driving did the Trophy suspension add anything to make it a better drive than the Cup?
Not interested in pace as they are the same car just how it felt.
I'm sure they'd pay for your fuel down there, buy you lunch and replace your tyres should they make a mess. And its a day out at Millbrook which l certainly haven't been to before.
And TBH most of us have buried the throttle plenty of times on M-ways etc and had a bit of fun on the twistys so...
I've been told they have a car but will confirm later if they need mine....and if l get next week off work too.
I remember that Tiff prefered the CTR to the 182 a few years ago and thought he wasn't too impressed. That said he does love the CTR.
Those FF182's are just soooo damn heavy ;)
I've e-mithered them...but need to confirm l can have next week off.
Just imagine Plato saying " These are feisty little cars...but the steering wheel looks like it's melted!"
172 Cup is awesome...in the dry ! In the wet your own inbuilt "SH1T!!!" warning system is the only thing to stop you sliding around on wet roundabouts ;)
My cars on 24k ...not too bad for an 05 plate ;) and TBH apart from a rattle or two and 'that' noise from the o/s/f it's not missed a beat.
What bulbs are available for the headlights that are whiter than the standard ones?
