adrian flux are shockingly poor.
last year my insurance on a Golf GT TDI mk4 = £550 comprehensive
renewal from adrian flux with one more years no claims and a year older = £2900 comprehensive.
WTF?
Every "superchipped" car I have ever come across (NA) has had the ignition timing advanced by 1.5 degrees and when ran on independent rollers, they have made more or less bang on standard power.
Ps dont believe the rolling road they do after because the rollers are easily adjusted on RRs...
my GT TDI highline with over 300 lbs /ft of torque and 137hp @ the wheels used to destroy stripped out VTS saxos never mind 75hp of 1.2 clios. mega lol tbf
i bet you love max power dont you?
Je suis aimer ce projet, c'est vraiment quelque chose de spécial. dire vous n'avez mécanique qualifications vous avez fait un travail formidable. j'aimerais avoir le temps et les installations à faire un tel projet moi-même.
unless it is a die hard track car/race car i would not strip it.
i stripped out my old track car before i got another daily and i regretted it after the novelty wore off
Cams IMO using the standard inlet.
That would be the route I'd go down.
Breathing mods, a good geometry set up. Head work, cams, live map.
It will be an animal then
Hmmm....... I'm sure there are alot of variables involved with a possibly biast performance exhaust test.
( I do not in any way say that it is biast )
I'd recommend keeping an open mind
i have found that they were they best after market filter with a very cold air feed + ram air induction. but for the price that they are and the minimal gains (if any) you get from air filters i would not not buy one.
IIRC they are over £200, really not worth it IMO
Huddersfield you say, im from Huddersfield.
your not far from barnsley, try ricky p RPM. he is a legend with french cars and has helped me out no end. he has a diagnostics machine.
look; http://www.rickyp-rpm.co.uk/
i hope this helps
im not 100% on the decibel rating but there are very good chances that a de cat exhaust system with no centre resonator will be too loud. IIRC they will be around the 100 decibel mark and IIRC most tracks have a limit of about 95 decibels.
(feel free to correct me if im wrong)
i hope this helps
i have sat and read through the entire thread. your car is mint and is really something special. you can really tell that a lot of money/blood/sweat/tears has gone into this project.
i dont know what you were thinking with those wheels though, i cant understand why you would restore to a car to...
if your air con wasnt on when the car did a power run it wont have effected the power. so if you have done the delete it will only be like having your air con switched off if you had it
