I would do neither. I just made this decision with a similar amount cash you have. I went for a 182 and I'm currently speeding the change on modding It and getting the car how I want it.

The brackets are triangular shape and are bolted on by 4 bolts. The triangular rubber hangers sit in the triangular bracket. Sorry, no pictures but are these hangers Standard on a 182?
I have recently bought a 182 and it came with a powerflow exhaust on. The exhaust is very poor and I'm changing it for a rs 192 when it comes sometime this week
I have had a look at replacing the exhaust hangers while im changing the exhaust and my rear exhaust hangers are a different shape...
i had a VTS track car, i now have a 182 and a lowmilage VTR.
i feel the 182 is alot more sturdy and feels more luxurious than 106 / saxos. the 1*2s cant just be messed about with as easily as the 106s / saxos though.

Hi, I recently bought a 182 which was very reasonable in price because it only has part service history.
It needs a mega service, both belt kits, aswell as everything else like oil etc.
I have been in touch with a few garages but none of them seem to want to get back to me with a price...
to fill my van = £90 ish and i get 400 miles
to fill my 182 = £50 ish and i get 300 to 350 ish miles
works out that my 182 is more economical than my diesel van, work that one out
i made the mistake on my track car of buying and testing 5 different filters. it was expensive but meh.....
1. k and n panel filter
2. k and n open cone filter
3. HKS mushroom filter
4. pipercross open cone filter
5. BMC CDA
the BMC was the best, especially with the newmans cam shafts. IIRC...
