Soz babes, been busy refitting lounge carpet, fitting a new kitchen and shifting furniture between 3 floors. I'm having a night off from it tomorrow so I'll be online then!
I suppose it all depends on the type of game you're playing. If you're playing a racing game then 3 screens with cockpit view is brilliant. To more hardcore gamers the larger viewing angle is a huge advantage.
That wasn't the reason for me going eyefinity, I was after the immense view you get on games like farcry, crysis etc.. But I soon found out about the massive advantage in multiplayer gaming. I don't play many games online, I've just got black ops 2 after a year or so of getting rid of the xbox...
For me, sadly so. I feel that going back to one screen would be like going back to a GT 260. :(
It's not just the gaming, it's the fact that I can do so much at once, film or Program on the left, browser center and itunes/utorrent/folders on the right.
And yes, I did detect the sarcasm. ;)
I know I'm a tad late but going back to the 7970 with eyefinity thing, it runs older games on 3 screens fine, dirt 2/3 etc.... never below 70fps for me. Newer games struggle like hell, farcry 3 on ultra returns about 15 fps and crysis 3 won't go above 4 fps.
Shame as I would love to see crysis...
Out of interest, what ones do you have? I've been looking at some of the older stuff recently as a mate used to run infinity everything and it sounded great.
Mine's been s**t since day one. Downloading and online gaming is great, internet is even fine, but trying to watch a 240p 12 second video on youtube...... best stick the kettle on.
That's with 100mb too.
They SHOULD come with wiring for them but if not then a bit of speaker cable, and the connections will only be pence as you'll only need a meter of cable for both sides. I doubt you'd want to cut the connectors off so I'd suggest getting some tap splice connectors and connect them to your...
Those speakers are coaxials, Try and get mid range woofers or you'll have too much treble and not enough bass to back it up. When I say you want the sound stage up front I mean you want the sound coming toward you, not from behind. This is being a bit anal but you'll get the best sound with...
Just done a quick search on here, they're 13cm, so the ones I linked will fit and to be honest you won't find better for the money. They'll amp up nicely if you decide to go down that route in the future too.
Don't get coaxials! Get some mid range for the rear for a bit more thump, you want the sound stage in front of you. I'll have a gander at the halfords site if you're set on going there but there's much better deals to be had elsewhere online.
Edit - I'd steer clear from halfords with those...
Well I've just won this, as a spur of the moment thing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121200805258 Can't be bad for the price, and as long as the damage to the front threads is all that's damaged then happy days!
I've got a fujifilm f2.8 macro lens that I got from a car boot sale, for a fiver! It's quite a nice lens to use, bit beaten up externally but it functions perfectly. There's a guy who sells on ebay only a few streets away too but he rarely has anything worth buying which is a shame.
I don't use the camera regularly though, and I've got a couple old lenses that obviously aren't able to autofocus and it doesn't really bother me. I was thinking more along the lines of Image quality.
Also, apparently (so I've read) the bokeh isn't all that on older primes, is this true?
So I've been having a gander at old primes for my D3100, I can't afford a newer prime at the moment due to the car needing a cambelt and brakes.
Now I know there won't be any autofocus and I'd need to adjust aperture manually so that's not a problem.
Basically I'd like to know if it's going to...
Regarding the linkage, should there be any play in it? Mine has a fair bit, due to (from memory) the connecting pin with the split pin. Would a new pin sort this?
Just as I thought with the cold running, Obviously not ideal for winter either. I did wonder about 'allowing the engine to produce maximum power' implying it's not producing full power as is.
Just having a gander on pms and came across this. I can't find any previous threads so onto the question.
What difference is there to a normal thermostat, other than opening sooner and cooler? Is there any noticable difference?
Also, would it be suitable for a road car? Will it cause any...
