It looks as if the K-tec remap gives better figures than the one from RS Tuning. Which should l go for to remap my un-modded 182 Cup?

My 172 Cup ran out on the m-way 15 miles after it came on.....and it wasn't being gunned at the time !

Well not quite.......we were only doing 30.....he had to take the other slip lane to join ahead of me.......but l passed him over the bridge at 5mph ! HA HA SUCKER ! Nothings faster than a Cup ;)

My 182 Cup still feels tight but should do the book 6.5 secs :) My 1.8 diesel Escort van will do 95 witha tail wind and 0-60 sub 40 secs

Has to be a dodgy connection somewhere.Unplug them and check their going to make contact when you plug them back in....and give them a squirt of WD-40.

Was the point of this thread to sort out what was a better performer.....diesel or petrol? Each to their own l say.My dads Audi 2.0 TDi is way better for the m-way than my Cup....but would l swap? NO ! My Cup is so much fun on the road and as good as the Audi is its bigger and heavier so boring...

Diesel power is moving on fast.Back in the day the Clio 16v was way slower than a 205 Turbo diesel 50-70. I know i've no chance pulling away from a Golf TDi or Focus TDi on the m-way at anything over 50 mph in fifth gear :(

Had a bump similar to this in old 309 Gti....only had it 6 weeks and was totally gutted.......l never did get it back on the road as it was going to cost more than the car was worth. I know how you feel....but like me you're ok and thats what counts :)

Has anyone had a re-map done to their 182? If so..... 1.Did you have any other mods? 2.Who did it and how much? 3.Are you happy with it?

This message comes up when l press control/alt/delete..."task manager disabled by administrator" How do l resolve this as my pc is running very slow also? Norton and Spyware Doctor can't solve it...!

I went from a 205 gti to a 172 Cup.......it had better grip in the wet than the 205 but on roundabouts when wet it was a handful....couldn't always get the power down. Handle with care!

Brakes on mine are very poor for the first few presses when wet....can almost catch you out. Their fine all other times.
