Anyway, back on topic - the Karcher K2.36M (this; without the patio cleaner though I think) is currently £65 at Morrisons, while stocks last.
I'm tempted to get one later...
I've got a few scratches (and a slight crack) on the screen, and one split at the back near the dock connector on my 3G - reckon they'll just swap it for another if I walked in with it? years warranty runs out 5th May.
Never really been bothered about getting it sorted tbh, but if its as easy...
It'd only be a short-term solution anyway. Don't really need to save; just waiting till some decent 172 16"s show up on here or eBay.
any idea what my current wheels are actually called anybody?
I've decided I want to spray my shitty standard 8 "spoke" alloys, as I can't stand the sight of them. Until I get my hands on some 172 16".
They'll probably be going black - before I do it though, I wanted to see if anyone else has attempted spraying these wheels, but I'm certain I've never...
Just been out to get some bits, and chucked what I bought in the boot. Yet I've just got back home, and now my boot won't open either with central locking or the key. The lock moves when I press they keyfob as usual though.
Crawling through from the inside, the lock looks like it's missing a...
Are mk2 ph1 & ph2 (ones with white circles) exactly the same at the back; ie -would it be a straight swap with one for the other? I assume so, but I'd appreciate a certain answer though. Cheers.
I want to do some work on my callipers, but couldn't find my locking wheel nut bolt/key. I bought one of the locking wheel nut removers from halfords, but the square fitting on the back is larger than on my socket set - I could just try and get an adapter I suppose..
I managed to squeeze it...
One of my headlights is messed up due to the previous owner polishing over with turtle wax to clean; now I could probably clean it up, following the thread on here. But I've tried already and it's a bit of a ballache to be honest, and it's going to take an age to get it anywhere near how I want...
Right, just got back in pulled out my headunit, only to remember another reason why I hadn't attempted to get this sorted earlier - the cable going from the head unit to the car is borked - I had to botch it up, when fitting it so some of the clips are just sellotaped in for now. I really could...
Haha what a pleb I am, didn't notice that; no wonder it looked too good to be true. Although i might still be interested..
Not too sure of the head unit I have (in work at the mo) - it's a standardish Sony one I bought about 4 years ago. Can't reall describe it other than that. Will check...
I'm in Denton, mate. Unfortunately.
About the alloys; would the 172 16" just be a straight swap? I'm sure I heard you can only go upto 15" without messing about too much. Maybe I dreamt that..
Wait, you don't mean these do you? I don't think they're much better than the ones I've got at the...
Thought I might as well start a 'project' thread seeing as I intend to a bit of work on the car, might as well put it here.
I bought it last Jan (09), and initially only planned to have it a year, then move on to something else (like I have with my other two cars), but after having a few...
Bit of an update on this one, since the problem was 'sorted' with the new battery I booked it in at my local garage for them to have a look at, as I thought my alternator was on the belly up. Now, regrettably I haven't been able to get it to the garage until today due to work commitments and a...
My local one is a pretty biggish one that always has a marquee outside for them to do work on your car. However, they apparently don't have the equipment to check alternators.
I'm 99.9% sure thats the issue though, as I've noticed its starting to sound wheezy - so I'll get into a garage for...
Ok, after all that it seems that it was thankfully just the battery. I put my charged up old one in there today, hoping that I'd get some sign of life and it started first time.
I'm a bit miffed to say the least though, as the battery must be about a month or so old at most. However, I remember...
I really appreciate the help fellas, thanks a lot.
The draining the battery to try and get it started sounds about right, as when I first went to the car on friday night the dash lights did come on briefly. If this was the case though, surely attempting to jump start it would give me some...
Right, I've got a feeling this is a hell of a lot worse than I originally thought.
Tried messing about with it today, with a few mates help & get bugger all. Turning the key in the ignition does nothing, no dash lights or anything. Tried jumpstarting it, again to nothing despite being a...
Yeah, will do. I'll probably be towing it home in the morning.
I don't have a spare as the previous owner (i bought it through a dealer) allegedly lost it. I think I may well be too naive at times..
I don't have spare :(
I don't know whether this is just me being my paranoid self, but is it a bad idea to keep keys like these in your pockets all day? I'm always scared of accidentally pressing the button incase I accidentally knock the fob out of sync, as it were. Despite the fact I'm often...
I just finished work at 10 o'clock, went to my car but when I went to unlock the doors with the keyfob nothing happened. Thinking somehow I didn't lock the doors (despite the fact, that even if I did the hazards would still flash) I just opened the door with the key, however when I went to...
thank god for that - finally got in it without the AA or breaking a window.
As for how it locked, as I was saying - I was taking one of the boot struts off as it looked bent out of shape, had my keys in my mouth and pressed the central locking button accidentally, then being the absolute...
