Hi folks
Looking at having a set of turinis on my 182, as we all know the 182 offset is 42 or 45 I think? Will the 172 turinins cause me any problems with the 37 offset?
Well nicely spotted anyway, since I have your attention here i'll tell you that we are arranging a meeting for the N. Ireland users from this forum, hopefully before the end of August we will be heading for a blast up the Causeway Coastal road so keep an eye in the meeting section!
Was behind you for half a mile or so, you pulled in just beside Charles Hurst.
Nice clean motor, I have a feeling I spotted you down at the Seacat cruise last Tuesday as well?
The damn thing keeps singing me out, every 20 seconds or so and its only happened since the last update was installed. How do you go back to a previous version?
Can someone tell me what this first service actually entails?
The brakes are fine, i've checked them myself and i'm having yellow stuff pads in when they wear so they wouldnt be touched.
Obviously oil and oil filter would be changed, air filter wont be touched as I have an ITG in and look...
Folks
Car is over 12k miles now and need it booked in for its first service, one Renault dealer quoted me £179 and another one £209!
Both seem quite excessive I thought, can someone give me a ballpark figure?
Hmmm only red, blue or silver though. Mine aint going in the grill, its going into the foglight surround! Was really hoping to get a yellow one, suppose I could always paint it myself.
Cheers for the help chaps!
Don't talk to me about that, my car went into the dealers 4 times to have a rattle fixed, the first 3 times they didnt fix it and the last time they fixed it but caused a different one to start!
Aerial I have, panel filter I have and I just fitted a cold air feed on
Thursday so that I also have. I'm not overlys ure about a decat as I do a lot of motorway driving and couldnt live with increased noise!
Just a quick update on this one, hard to say if its the removal of the acoustic valve, the CAF itself or a combination of the 2 but the car definitely seems to feel a fair bit more responsive.
I love how it looks as well so all in all it's certainly worth the effort.
The old birthday is fast approaching and the girlfriend keeps asking what i want. I'm thinkin about getting a new steering wheel from her, is this something thats really worth changing?
If so, did it make a difference to your insurance policy?
Can someone point me at a website where I can...
Lowering had crossed my mind, BUT, my last Clio was lowered 40mm and I dont really want to go through the same bouncing motions as I did before. if I could lower it maybe 20mm I could be tempted.
There's a single bolt holding it onto the bracket, take it out and the valve unit will come out. Simply twist the valve whilst holding the standard air feed and it will come free.
Well thats the CAF in, piece of piss getting the acoustic valve and fog light out and feeding the tubing down through. Just need to get some mesh to secure the trumpet and then i'll get some pics on the go!
Thanks the the tips and encouragement from the guys who gave them.
Its the standard airbox with an ITG panel filter fitter, i'm really hoping to get a bit of an induction roar, even if that doesn't really happen I quite like the look of the hose poking through the foglight or the grill so will do it anyway. Thanks to those who provided some help.
Hi folks
I have found what looks to be an ideal piece of hose for a CAF in work.
So, after a quick look in the bonnet it's painfully obvious that there is no room for the hose without needing to remove or relocate things in the engine bay.
Can someone who has done this previously offer some...
I can happily report that as I have dark mats there was no stanin and when I was away all weekend I left a few magic trees in the car. The beer smell is gone but Jesus, magic trees are rank!
On a sidenote, I recall an incident in work where one of the large offices had a foul smell in it, we...
