I have never been in a clio fitted with itb's if im honest but the difference on my mates ek9 b16b was night and day response/pick up wise, certainly not flat! Not to mention the sound when it hits tec! Its unworldly lol
if I was more confident with wiring and looms I would go for a cheaper option but I figure by the time I pay to have say a omex or similar wired and fitted etc will be about the same price. Plus how would I go about starting the car with a omex if I fitted myself? I like the fact I get a base...
Im going to be fitting jenveys quite soon just need to get round to bying a ecu(gonna use gen90) but with weather etc been a bit lazy. But after I buy the ecu if will of cost me a bit over £1700 all in including areo catches, smaller rad so I can run 120 mm trumpets. gonna fit myself then get it...
Its is incredibly easy, even more so if you have alloys you can get to the hub nut through as you can crack them loose first. Rest is plain sailing just remember you have to wind the rear calipers back in.
Cheers for reply.
Yeah pretty sure i'm going to go with the gen90 been speaking to dan about getting one. How is it say you have a non start fault or sensor fault ect, can it be plugged into a normal diagnostics reader?
No problems with removing the slam panel or cutting the bonnet bracing...
Might sound daft but did you have the ignition on position 2? Also did you remove it completely from your pc? Like through add and remove programs? You have probably done both but work a check i guess. I had the same problem when i did mine and i hadn't installed the legacy vci, removed it from...
Cheers for replies guys.
I would if possible prefer to use standard loom as if i'm honest i wouldn't really know where to start with splicing/adapting wires etc and quite likethe thought of been able to remove easily if needed. How much do you charge for the TPS adaptor plug and a throttle...
Hi, i recently purchased some Jenvey throttle bodies for my 172 cup but i'm not sure if have everything i need. I have everything shown in these pictures and i have already ordered a ph1 throttle pedal. I also know that i need a filter backing plate and a ecu, i was thinking about the ktec gen90...
Im sure someone will come along and help you out mate but don't think its as straight forward as you would like. pretty sure it needs plugging in to have the lights knocked out not sure tho so don't quote me on it.
I think you will need to get the airbag module reset or something. I never bothered sorting it after I fitted my bucket seats to be honest you soon get used to the them. Stuff like that has never bothered me though so have never seen it as an issue.
You on the standard ecu map? They all tend to wanna stall when you first start it. after I put a rstuner map on mine started and idled perfect no matter how cold. Just give it a tiny rev as its starting, that's what used to do.
I could be wrong here but although it logs as a fault im pretty sure the pedal/throttle sensor isn't actually a fault. someone correct me if in wrong but sure when I used my rs tuner a while back it had that same fault but with brackets next to it saying not a fault or something.
After you get a tuner plug it in to car under the ashtray with ignition in position 2, then connect to car by pressing in top left then take a screenshot of the car information which is on left of the screen, then send it to henk(fastchip owner) when you buy the ron98 performance map and he will...
the reg came back as a 1.2 dynamique. She was manufactured on 01/09/2001 enjoy. I only check manufacture dates as I found out my cup was born on the same day as me lol. December 8th :)
The site will just be down mate. henk is a top bloke, fire him a email I wouldn't expect much till after Christmas tho usual takes him a day or 2 to reply. I wouldn't worry tho you'll get your map :)
Wait and see who did them first you might be ok if done correctly by someone with the right tools. Id only use your mechanic if he has experience with them and has all the correct locking tools.
Have a look on ktec site they have a fitting guide on the diy body kit. its incredibly easy to fit. Save yourself a few hundred on fitting and get more mapping time :)
Does it cut off whilst in gear under load? Or say when you put it in neutral to stop at a junction/roundabout etc? As for bad fuel how often is it driven? Do you leave the car long periods without use? If not it won't be off fuel. Will need a bit more info to be able to truely help diagnose...
Hey man no hard feelings what so ever just passing on abit of wisdom thats all ive wasted thousands and thousands on modding cars and plan to continue doing so lol. I just know what happens next you spend that and you'll still want more power trust me. its happened to me fairly recently lol put...
