It's a pointless exercise IMO, unless it's in better condition that when it rolled of the production line (i.e. concourse). The next buyer isn't going to care that an 8 year old Clio spent it's 8th winter in a garage.
It's all well and good saying "drive to the conditions" etc, but what happens when some kid runs out into the road, or you get cut up doing 70+ on the m/way and you need to hit the anchors? That's where the decent rubber is needed. Those rare emergency occasions. IMO.

That's correct. Five door only. On that note, on Focus STOC, there was a log of negativity regarding the 5 door only and smaller engine at first. Needless to say, the balance of opinion has and is still changing.
