It seems OK now.. it was for a client.
It kept just shutting down randomly - 30 minutes, 10 minutes, 2 minutes, urgh!
Had a new motherboard, new RAM and something else but made no difference.
Got a whole new laptop in the end from them, Heh.
New one seems solid! :p
As a long time Linux user (10+ years now), on both the desktop and now mainly server environments, my honest opinion is - No.. stick with XP or get Vista if you want to change. :)
If you want something which feels a bit like Linux, get a Mac running OSX.. much better for desktop stuff.
Out of all the Dell laptops I've sold, only the XPS 1330 has caused the most issues.. Heh.
They look nice though..
The "too small" argument is stupid though.. my laptop is smaller, and it's fine. They do cram a lot of stuff in though - dedicated graphics, etc.

Do O2 have a mailserver you can use? smtp.o2.co.uk for example? Not sure how it would work over Wifi tho?
