In my experience they have very heavy backboxes and rather large too so getting it to sit right is a problem but it sounds the nuts albeit not quite as loud as I would like it.

Basically I'm now 21 so would it be worth calling the insurers and letting them know and asking for a cut down in the original quote therefore lowering the remaining monthly payments?

Don't be daft if your getting rid of the sub you got to at least keep the amp, 6x9's work well without a sub after all they are three way speakers unless you have el cheapo ones, if your wiring them to the headunit you may aswell just stick with standard ones as you won't be able to utilise any...
Take a look at these, they aren't designed for Renault but there may be one that will fit along with some cable ties, I'm not sure on sizes though.
