Im going to change the bottom balljoint today, after a quick search on here it doesnt seem too hard.
Just a quick question though, Do i need to jack both sides up? I read one thread and it said something about the driveshaft popping out if you dont jack both sides up.
Try a pair of pliers/mole grips on the cap and another pair on the valve stem bit but dont pull it out.
If not then its probably best to go to a garage, and dont use cheap metal ones again haha
You cant tar every young driver with the same brush though.

The older lot will say to wait, and the younger lot will say go for it.
It really is up to you, shop around and see if you can get it cheaper first though
