My Macbook Pro was 99% awesome. The last 1% was lost because it just got WAY too hot underneath.. (and it was slightly too big at 15" widescreen)
If this 13.3" MBP rumour is true, I could well be getting one.. :p
See, I'm completely the opposite.. I wouldn't touch a Sony Vaio.. but I have a D420. I've configured 3/4 Vaio SZ's, and all have been very poor for the money/performance/*
Everyone has a different opinion.. which is good :)
Depends on the application.. I'd choose Xeon for an Exchange server, but I chose Opteron for the ClioSport server, just because of the different tasks.
For a desktop PC or laptop, definetely Intel at the moment.. Core2Duo. You can't go wrong.
Well, I say it does.. it can do.. :)
What problems are you having? Just slowness?
I'm suprised it's at 0.5Mb after 3/4 days though.. the lines I've seen, all started at around 3Mb-ish.. pretty much the same day..
Obviously, your line might have been majorly unstable at the starting number...
Either way, you should have a sticker at least (it's printed on the CD case on 2003) with the code on.. so even if you don't have the disc, you should have 3 empty CD wallets.
If you don't have that, you don't have a license effectively.
It's all irrelevant anyway.. give it a couple of years and everyone will be downloading their content.
Either way, Blu Ray is going to win now with the new backing it's getting.
I'd have a look at the connections mate.
The difference is very noticable on say, a premiership game.. Films less so difference, but football.. definetely.
You havn't been watching HD content then.. :S
You do get used to it, but they're a world apart.
Remember, only certain things are HD.. (even on the HD channels)
If it's "really slow" then it's not 5Mb is it?
5Mb is perfectly acceptable.. infact, 2Mb is enough for most people.
Some ISPs drop you to 256k!
If you've maxed 20Mb connection (and you get 20Mb), then it's likely to be costing them more than you're paying. No internet connection is...
