I've sometimes heard some insurers stating that the reg they were given was for a 172, when the customer knows they have a 182.
Maybe a registration error?
So in turn you may have just bought a 182 that's down as a 172, maybe.
I had the same issue, someone put a piece of wood in to wedge the window up. Hopefully yours maybe a loose connector or a goosed regulator.
They're only £30 max to replace, you'll just need to take the door card off to see what the problem is.
Fit fine no spacers needed. May run camber + spacers at rear but you'll have no problems, I'm lowered about 60mm and the wheels are 7j with 195/50 tyres.
I don't have an RS but im sure that when other brands of spark plugs are fitted it causes a misfire.
I don't know the specific plug but I know it's an NGK PFR... a search should throw it up.
