also my current 182 i bought for just under 5k with 32k on the clock a year ago it now has 58k on the clock and have spent getting on for 4k on it and i will be lucky to see 3k if i sold it:( a 6k loss

clio 1.8 16v paid £600 for it ,spent just over 3k on it in 4 months then sold it for 1k, and now wish i had kept it

in and around £450 supplied and fitted using valeo clutch. its the labour thats the expensive part 7hrs labour! the clutch itself is fairly cheap around £100

chuck it away it does nothing it just fools the ecu into thinking there is colder denser air coming into the intake manifold (when there isn't) so it replies by adding slightly more fuel iirc what causes the mix to be to lean which over time can cause problems with valves/valve seats/piston...

beat me to it rob, plus that is why these are going for 2k and under because they have not been looked after and are dogs.

not good mate get it booked into a specialist straight away ,if i was you i wouldnt drive it time bomb waiting to go off mate especialy accelerating hard,if it is the aux belt tensioner and it fails it shall cause the belt to come off/snap and in most cases it wraps itself round the bottom...

as said above some have different connecters and i had to extend the washer fluid pipe on mine

have you got the self leveling system fitted also i think its on the rear beam,if not it shall fail

might sound stupid but run the car and pull and hold the engine towards you and away from you see if the noise stops if it does its down to mounts a friend of mine had a similiar noise and turned out to be to do with the gearbox mounts.

only two places i would take my car total control racing in wednesbury (maybe closer to you being in cannock) and to fred at btm :D

lol yup just a bit of pipe, is you're centre section silenced? if not do you get alot of drone? thinking of getting the unsilenced pipe and milltek decat for mine

as far as i know it has to be a sleeve joint where it meets the centre section, shall keep an eye on this as i'm in the same boat!! just came across this and is the same size bore and joint...

or just get a bit of hose pipe and a funnel undo the plastic wingnut on the front of the box wedge in pipe and tip oil in, here is what you need but you need a crimping tool to fit it...
