no i have not dropped a valve in the inlet (touches wood), but was wondering what actualy causes this? bad design/living on the limiter?
also could remaping the ecu via say an rstuner etc...... i.e raising the limiter slightly cause this by putting more strain on the engine. i am thinking of...
lol he means are the wheels straight not on full lock etc. if they are straight then yes it is top mounts or accident damaged bent strut/wishbone could of roger'd a kerb
i done the same the other month whilst doing my ball joints all you would have done is popped the gator out of the bearing/oilseal/plastic cap on the shaft (at the small end of the gator) all i did was remove the shaft cut off the old retaining clip push the gator back into the bearing/seal/cap...
flol some of these prices are shocking for insurance,i thought £650 was high, i would rather catch the bus than pay out 3.5k.
op you're in a no win situation, buy a 172 get bankrupt on insurance/or turn yours into a replica get bankrupt once declared to insurance.

cut??? things like brakes and suspension should not be bodged no matter how good the person is that is doing it! if noticed its an mot failure and you could kill yourself or some innocent person,

i have just put hankook v12 evos on.i can't compare to the better brands but they are better than the cack tyres renault put on it when i bought it
i have brembo hc front discs with brembo pads and genuine rear discs with ebc redstuff pads along with a fluid change and i think they are brilliant. unless you track you're car alot or drive like a posessed vicar standard would be fine.
