Re: wireless router for AOL bb.
They should all work.
I've recently installed a Netgear 834G no problems for a friend on AOL. The supplied USB modem is nothing short of shocking.
I love my new Macbook Pro.
2Ghz Dual Core
1GB RAM
100GB 7200rpm HDD
Awesome!

:)
By far the best laptop I've used EVER.. EVER.. and I've used loads ;)
In terms of consumer hardware, it's quite good.
I'd say they're one of the most popular "home based" network manufacturers..
It might not be the best, but it does work..
There is no key to override it in Mk1 Phase3. (definetly not my 1.2, anyway)
Just clean the infra-red unit electric bit.. or get really close to it with the fob - thats how my old 1.2 worked.
Once I cleaned it, it got wrapped up in food bag - that sorted it!
Thats a bargain then.. it means you get all the benefits of an 18month contract, but get a new phone (the main benefit) of a 12 month contract.. which is yours then after another 6 months.
Hmmm..... Heh
But it's an 18month contract...
So where does the 6 months go? It just gets added on?
Upgrading every 12 months is a 12 month contract by my logic :S
I'm probably just missing the point, ;)
So you upgrade after 12 months, on an 18month contract..
So then, you have a real problem, cus' you got the phone for 24 months.. (6months remaining + 18 new months)
Upgrade after 12 again, and it gets even worse! :)
I dunno how that works.. cus' you could be in a situation where you have...
For Broadband, unless you have a really poor Wireless signal, there will be no difference in speed between wireless and cabled.
Cable is ALWAYS more reliable.. but.. having said that, wireless is pretty solid given a good signal.
Saying that, security. Always a subject which gets people scared...
Yea, it's an amazing deal.. but, could I live with the same phone for 18months?
My 15month old D500 is totally battered now.. like, near unusable at times :(
Completely depends on the task. The P4 (Prescott) destroys the 3500+ Venice at Video encoding for example.
And, it's quicker in a few other tasks too.. so "a fair bit slower" isn't 100% the case. ;)
Hmm, P4's with HT always produced better results than similar Athlon's in encoding and desktop work.
Athlon64's only really win on price and gaming.
I dunno how accurate these are, but:

I think the main issue is, AMD will always the "the computer fans" choice.
Look at all the major manufacturers, all dominated by Intel based machines..
Apple have gone Intel... Dell are mainly Intel (do they have any AMD machines? Can't remember if I read something about them using AMD at...
Like I said, ATI are used in high-end Mac's.. And now Mac's use Intel CPU's/Chipsets, that's quite a large market to just abandon.
I can't see it changing much really..
Interesting.
Macbook Pro's use ATI Radeon cards.. and Intel processors/chipsets.. so, basically, they've done well. It means both AMD and Intel now have a piece of high-end Mac's :)
Just thought I'd make a post.. as it's very rare for me all this Renault dealership stuff :p
My car is booked into a proper Renault service place, tomorrow at 8am.
Never, EVER taken any of my Clio's to Renault before for inspection/work.. felt proper ClioSport'y when I was booking it on...
You will probably be able to see it very slightly.
My 1.2 had a sticker.. and when I removed it, if you looked at the right angle, you could see the outline.
You have to remember it's been there since it left the factory, so it's bound to leave a mark! :)
