Yep, you'll have to pay subscription :)
If it's communal, you sometimes (most of the time) can't get Sky+, so it'll just be normal Sky (or possibly SkyHD but with no plus features).
It'll stop you sending mail out at all.. heh.
SMTP is port 25/TCP.. if it listens on anything else, it's broken. :p (I know AOL or something use some weird SMTP port going out.. but that's because they have some weird setup)
It'll just be getting delayed somewhere - they'll all turn up at some...
Bear in mind, everything's going Intel at the moment.. and Mac Pro's are expected in August at WWDC. (Rumours).
So, bear it in mind when buying them.. :)
Altho, Photoshop etc.. all works better on PPC still.. but that will change.. depends if you *need* it now, or can wait a bit longer! :)
Suspension isn't engine :p
Manifold (although they are interchangable)
White dot on dipstick (although they are interchangable)
Smaller starter motor (but hidden under a heat shield)
Engine code - F7R (as opposed to F7P on 16v)
If it's in a car, Williams standard hits limiter at 6500rpm.. and...
Just make sure you get a Wireless Router. Then WAN port on the router into your cable modem, and then the PC/Laptop on wireless. Sorted.. (and it'll be a much better set up.. :D)
Much easier and "better" to have an access point - they arn't that expensive.
Infact, I've never seen a wireless network with no access point.. ever.. :p
I was quoted, from two Renault specialists £550 and £650 for a clutch change in my Williams (same as the 16v).
Clutch specialists will usually be cheaper.. but.. just for a comparison price, ^^ that's what a specialist charges :)
Well, it's all personal preference.
I wouldn't use anything other than Linux on a server - I run Debian on mine. (which hosts a handful of domains with web, mail, dns etc.., jabber server etc..).
As for desktop use, I just don't think it maximises my productivity! :p
But anyway - I'm talking polish. I used my laptop OK with Dapper (since it was first made available in alpha stages). It worked. It didn't work as well as it would with Windows on it. Simple :)
Things "work" but aren't "polished".
Anyway, people use what they want.. :p
My next laptop is...
After being a Linux user for near on 6/7 years, and using it on servers (still), desktops etc.. I'd say it's not ready for desktop use yet.
Windows XP/Vista or MacOSX is *way* more polished.. and just works. Ubuntu doesn't. :p
If his account is frozen, then the money should be unclaimed?
If it's not unclaimed, he has it.. so he needs to click "refund" :)
If he doesn't play ball.. then contact them and they look into it. I got my refund from them within a few days on a purchase. (I ordered two items, and only got...
True, but for what it's designed to do (run OSX well), they are fine.
My mate just sold his Core Duo with 1GB RAM, and it was perfect in OSX.
He doesn't play games etc.. tho, but then.. that's what xbox/ps2's are for ;)
Well, I certainly ain't going to get into a Windows / MacOS X flame war :)
I know the pro's and con's of each.. and that's enough for me!
Everyone else use what they want! :p
^^ Has a point :p
New Mac Pro's out soon hopefully (WWDC show maybe?).. then it'll get interesting.
