Thats the only way. iTunes won't let you sync an iPod from two different computers/user profiles :( As soon as you "associate" an iPod to your own iTunes, it'll just put your music on!

I had this. Take out the receiver, clean it all up with some electrical cleaner.. wrap it in a food bag and put it back. Sorted! :D
