Re: Inferno 182
Im pretty tempted to get some braided lines next time I get my brake fluid replaced! Good to know that it does make a noticeable difference to the brakes!
Once you remove the 3 bolts holding the gaitor thing on and pull it out then yes it will loose fluid. Best to drain the gearbox and then replace with new fluid whilst your at it.
Agree with this. Loads of them about, I would just save a bit more and get a decent one, probably one off here which is more likely to be properly looked after + easier to look up the history!
I used them for the belts on my old clio and have used them quite a bit in the last few year, would highly recommend them!
few things I picked up on with the car. "new spark plug with threading" what does he mean by threading? Stripped the threads when removing/replacing and had to helicoil...
Nah it wasn't me John, I wanted to come to the meet but I was working all day :(
Your V6 looked good mate, sounded pretty sweet too! Do you stay up Colinton way by chance?
I know this is a slightly old thread but better than starting a new one. Ive just got some harnesses but im not sure how to mount the lap straps. I think il need to drill a hole on the inside of the car behind the hand brake and use a spreader plate to fit the inside strap. For the outside...
Agreed that it needs to go up a bit more. This is what I said I have the other night: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Astra-Mk2-85-91-Powerflex-Exhaust-Mount-EXH008-/370765213777?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5653543051
Quite happy to give you a hand to fit them if you want!
Seen it today at about 4PM outside watsons school. Boaby Tapp'd sticker top left of the rear window and circuit sticker bottom right of the rear window!
There is another one in Edinburgh that is standard think his plate is something like M14 POB or something similar and he isnt a member on her, could of been him!
They do sit good apart from they occasionally rub!
16" wheels mate.
To be honest I've not had a play with them yet. Set front and rear to the middle and it's very nice to drive like it is! Might have a play when the snow is gone!
