I wonder if the a search on the reg number would bring it up? Don't know if the DVLA would hold details on whether it was a JPS or not. Might be tough to get a picture of the plate but I could probably try. It did look like the sort of place where you might get shot, Tony Martin style though...
Has everyone been asking this question? I'm not sure that they have. Almost impressive that he managed to spin a drag race into a video lasting almost six minutes. I skipped all the s**t at the start as soon as he started talking about Covid. I couldn't care less what he thinks about that.
Yeah the console question is the big one for me. I don't know if I can justify the cost of the PC for what I'm going to use it for.
Nice. I've got an old Ford Motorsport Motodrive than I'm going to use for mine. Need to get a rig too.
Yeah I think Xbox makes more sense if my friends have them, though someone did tell me that it doesn't actually matter for playing certain games online anymore. Not sure how true that is.
Would be nice to figure out the add-ons thing really. If I can add the handbrake to the Logitech, as well...
That's really interesting. I mean I have virtually no experience with gaming, so I'm the last person to comment :ROFLMAO: Definitely keen to give it a go though. I'm not too fussed on circuit stuff. Forza Horizon appeals, just so I can race my mates really!
I'm not using a PC :ROFLMAO:
A bit surprised by that. They had a couple of rally drivers that were part of the consulting team and apparently put a lot of effort into making it feel as realistic as possible.
Yeah I'm not sure how much you can mix and match on console. Want to keep it as...
I don't really have a budget to be honest, more because I have no idea what I am looking at 😂
I was recommended to get a Thrustmaster T300rs by a guy who works at Codemasters, but I couldn't find it on their website anymore.
A mate has a Logitech that he got second hand. It has three pedals...
As above really.
Thinking of buying a console and wheel, mostly to play Dirt 2.0 to be honest. I'm leading towards an Xbox, purely because that's what most of my mates have, but is one particularly better than the other?
What wheels do people use? I'd really like one that you can add bits to...
I was just the same. I ran a Golf 7R alongside my 172 Cup. Didn't use the Clio all that much but, when I did, it put a massive smile on my face. The Golf was a much nicer daily, but wasn't nearly on the same level as the Clio when it came to enjoyment.
I'm the same. Been thinking about it for a while. PC is better but, for me, probably just not worth the additional expense. I was thinking of going Xbox One of some kind, as that's what most of my mate's have. Would only really want Dirt 2.0 to be honest. A mate has Forza Horizon which is pretty...
Agreed. The 1*2 was really well regarded in all forms. A rough one will feel crap, but a well-kept one is still a really great car. Obviously new stuff is faster and objectively better, but the 1*2 is probably the best hot hatch of its era in my view.
I've not driven a TT, but they didn't get...
There's more to life than big power. These have massive tuning potential if you want it anyway.
It's all about the revs and the handling in these in my view.
Always liked this era of Civic. The '90s ones are infinitely cooler than the more modern stuff.
I had a Civic Coupe in this shape. Like you say, the interiors aren't the nicest on anything this side of the Type-R, but a set of seats will sort that. Engines are cracking and the suspension is...
The standard front seats in most cars are bloody heavy, so plenty of weight to be saved there. The AC compressor, rad, pipes etc add up too. Even sound deadening and the like is surprisingly heavy.
I weighed mine when I had it, back to back with a mate's standard 172 and the figures were pretty much bang-on what the manufacturer claims.
As above, thinner carpet and glass, less sound deadening, crappy seats (especially the rear), no ABS, no AC, lighter wheels, it all adds up.
They don't appeal to me much either, but are a great way to improve your car control. Some of the best drivers in the business started with this sort of thing.
Like these a lot. How are your wheels holding up? When I had my Golf, they started to corrode after a year. I didn't treat them with anything though I must admit.
I think the problem for me is that I am not a mad detailer. I don't want hard work and to be endlessly applying stuff. Just a bit concerned about brake dust and stuff getting into them and making them look pap.
